I have a question on how to use the rd-20090515.json file linked on the rd-20090515 page. --LilShootDawg (talk) 22:26, 7 May 2018 (UTC)

Clicking the file will download it. If you scroll to the bottom of the file, you can see it says "releaseTime": "2009-05-14T22:00:00+00:00", which is what we based the release date off of. – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe Map (item) 08:03, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
Ah, I thought it would download the actual version. Sorry. --LilShootDawg (talk) 10:09, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

Dead links

{{Link}} can be used to mark a dead link. So can {{dead link}}, but the latter adds the page to Category:Dead links so somebody doing maintenance can try to find an alternate URL for it. I think {{Link}} should add it to the category too, but only if there's no archive-url. What do you think? – Auldrick (talk · contribs) 05:03, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

Okay, yeah; the category now gets added when {{{dead-url}}} but not {{{archive-url}}} is used, and you can avoid adding the category using {{{nocat}}}. – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe Map (item) 19:29, 11 May 2018 (UTC)

Patroller right

Hi! Dinoguy1000 has put you in the patroller user group, which allows you to mark other edits as patrolled and rollback edits. It's strongly recommended to take a look at MCW:Patrollers for an explanation of the role, as well as a quick guide. Here's a brief overview of both of the permissions the user right provides:

  • Marking edits as patrolled. This basically tells other patrollers and administrators that the edit has been reviewed and any problems both content-wise and formatting-wise, have been fixed - e.g., open HTML tags or incorrect information. Since you're a new patroller, if you're unsure about something, it's better to leave it to a more experienced patroller or administrator. Additionally, you can take a look at Special:log/patrol, to get an idea of when other patrollers mark edits as patrolled.
  • Rolling back edits. Clicking "rollback" will instantly rollback all of the last contributions to the page by the user without leaving an edit summary, while clicking the pencil button will allow the summary to be edited. The most important thing here, is if there's any chance that the user was trying to be helpful to the wiki or the information might be correct but you haven't tested it, make sure to leave an explanatory edit summary.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Additionally, if you don't want this user right, feel free to ask for it to be removed here, and I can ping Dinoguy.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed TerracottaTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta 13:19, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

User CSS changed due to another account having been renamed

User account "Nicolereneew" has been renamed to "Nicolerenee". Your personal CSS files have been modified to be in accordance with the new username. If you find this assistance inappropriate for some reason, you are free to revert the fix given that it only affects you. Thank you for your cooperation! --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 10:06, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

  • Thanks for changing that :) – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe 17:59, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

Reverts

I made an edit on Pandas, why did you revert it? It was said at MINECON Earth 2018? - Liftski (talk) 22:40, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

Sorry about that. Bamboo forests are not in the game yet so that information should not be put there until later when they are actually added. – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe 02:36, 15 October 2018 (UTC)

Why did you revert my changes from dead bushes “now” to “not”. it clearly says on the minecraft.net website... Aawweessoommee7 (talk) 00:16, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

Can I be admin on Little Alchemy Wiki?

If I did my research correctly, you own the Wikia account Abc12356790, right? Can you give me administrator on the Little Alchemy Wiki? I want to continue working on it after you stopped editing there four years ago.

btw, just in case you don't know how, go to Special:UserRights/AStranger195 and tick 'Administrator' and 'Bureaucrat'. --Stranger195 (talkcontribsguestbook) 09:13, 15 October 2018 (UTC)'

I'll try but I haven't used that account in ages and don't know if I have the password saved to chrome. I forgot I even made that wiki lol. – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe 18:35, 15 October 2018 (UTC)

Edit war problem solution

Im sorry for this epic edit war. I am going to stop it so please forgive me for the ridicilous editing. :( User:MoMoCool2005 09:33, 15 October 2018‎ (UTC)

An apology

Hey. I just wanted to say sorry for the reverts without edit summaries earlier today. I should’ve clarified instead that what was being done was a violation of MCW:FUTURE, which basically states that any content can be added as long as it appears in a developmemt version. I understand you are trying to be helpful in regards to having the articles below the redirect, but doing so is technically a violation of the rule stated above. I also understand that you had some conversations with an admin on Discord regarding such, but I’d like to point out that Discord shouldn’t be a substitute for the community portal, which is where we typically discuss about rule changes and the like. -BDJP (t|c) 01:15, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

Reverting

Reverts performed by clicking the "rollback N edit(s)" link on diffs should generally only be performed on blatant vandalism/spam. They should not be performed on obviously good-faith edits, as you did here; in those cases, the "undo" link should be used, and an appropriate explanation should be left in the edit summary. ディノ千?!☎ Dinoguy1000 23:07, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

I know, I know, sorry, it's just really difficult to leave edit summaries to reversions on mobile. Theres no rollback ✏️ nor an undo button. – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe 23:11, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
I'm glad to hear this is just caused by bad mobile interface design. In that case, I'd recommend to wait on undoing edits until you can get to a computer. ディノ千?!☎ Dinoguy1000 23:16, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) That's true, and I understand, but I still don't think it's really a good reason not to leave an edit summary when reverting edits that were obviously made in good-faith. You could switch to desktop view temporarily, and just zoom in (it isn't too hard); if you really can't do that, it may be a good idea not to revert the edit at all, or at least follow up with a dummy-edit. I personally never use mobile view, even on my tiny phone; mobile view pretty much sucks in every way, in my opinion. ;-) The problem with reverting good-faith edits without leaving an edit summary, is it leaves the reverted user confused and not sure why their edit was reverted, and for newbies it can lead to worse consequences, including frustration and annoyance, and possibly giving up editing.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed TerracottaTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta 23:18, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
It definitely comes across as rather bitey, for both new and experienced editors alike. ディノ千?!☎ Dinoguy1000 23:23, 24 October 2018 (UTC)
Couldnt this be fixed by unhiding "(undo)" from mobile.css? – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe 00:06, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
Assuming it has a unique class name, yes, it could. But doing that would make it harder to quickly revert spam/vandalism while on mobile, for those who have access to the rollback tool and often browse the wiki in the mobile view. ディノ千?!☎ Dinoguy1000 01:01, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

Nixinova, if you need help with anything, i'll be of an assisstance to you! :) BTW, thx for helping an issue earlier! ImjustaJk56 (talk) 03:48, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

Renewability of Totems of Undying

About a month ago, you stated that totems of undying will be renewable in 1.14, but I cannot find information on how one will be able to obtain totems renewably. Please explain how totems will be renewable. The BlobsPaper 04:26, 26 December 2018 (UTC)

  • Totems of undying are dropped by evokers, which can spawn in raids starting from wave 10, therefore making the totems renewable. – Nixinova Book and Quill Diamond Pickaxe 05:37, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
Wave 10 of a raid only occurs if the player has Bad Omen 5, and it looks like killing the captain of an illager patrol only gives Bad Omen 1-3. Are you sure the player can get Bad Omen 5 without commands? –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Blobs2 (talkcontribs) at 15:27, 26 December 2018 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
