Java Edition
The official name of the "Computer Edition" is "Java Edition", and has been confirmed as "Java" by the devs. It is to space it away from the Windows 10 Edition. – Nixinova •

- I don't disagree that the Java Edition name is less confusing. However, the changes have not officially been implemented yet, and thus we should wait before changing the name, or as a wiki decide when is the right time to change references of computer editions to the Java Edition. There are a lot of places which will require a name change (e.g. the front page, the computer versions template etc), so it is better that we do it all together in a systematic fashion rather than changing certain pieces in an ad hoc fashion. –Goandgoo ᐸ Talk

- Yes, but my assumption from various comments on the community portal discussion and the Pocket Edition discussion is that we would wait to see how things actually start to play out and avoid rushing into changes before making any changes with regards to the Renaming project. –Goandgoo ᐸ Talk
