Current status

The game was released on May 9th, 2012 and costs 1600 MS points.

DO NOT post what you think should or should not be in the game next update. It takes up space on the server and is USELESS and will be REMOVED. Updates and what the updates will hold is up to 4J untill the Xbox edition is on par with the PC. --Ichi (Talk) 14:55, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

New Information

PAX was today and Mojang released some footage of the Xbox 360 Edition being played, showed the leaderboards, achievements and crafting tables. He disproved a lot of information that is already on the page, needs to have a lot added to it and a lot removed from it.

• Add achievements for 360 version.
• No modding will be possible although the page says it will be.
• You can join friends worlds and save them to play later by yourself.

Vandalized!

Some spammer changed the cover art into a trollface! Fix this please or Mojang is not happy!

Can someone link to the Tutorial world page?

Since this is locked, I can't add it. Versions

Map is not 1024 by 1024

I don't know who reverted my edit but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to load up a new game with map and see that it goes -431 to +431 on each axis.

But it takes someone who owns the game. 862 is a very strange number, so it seemed doubtful without a source. –ultradude25 ^(T|C) at 08:00, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Map mechanics as of new update

Just a note, the map is still limited to a square area with clear borders. However, you CAN continue playing your old maps. If you elect to load it in Creative Mode, achievements and leaderboard updates will be PERMANENTLY DISABLED for that map, even if you reload it in Survival (they can be toggled on loading). That being said, if you have an older map that was not fully explored, exploring it will generate updated content (biome colors, mineshafts etc). This can cause pretty severe chunk errors, though. I can take a photo later, if requested. (I am unsure if any of this is article-worthy, but am listing it here just in case). Holloway 19:16, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

An update just came out, please update the Wiki accordingly.

They have just released many new things such as Mushroom biomes and Enchantment Tables. Please update so we can see the full extent of this update.

The End

I have Minecraft on my Xbox 360, and today an update was posted on the home page, "The End is nigh" Since the page is protected an admin will have to add that to the article (and yes, I know that you know). --108.206.173.162 05:48, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

Differences from PC edition
