2x2 Spruce Tree Growth

There are in fact 2 types of "Super Spruce" that aren't represented on the wiki, one is 10x10 with it's leaves starting at ground level, the other kind is an 8x8 tree where the leaves start at ground level as well. The trunk on both is still the normal 2x2. To get both of these types of tree, you need to limit the growth of them by encasing them in a 16 tall room. There may be other sizes not represented, but I haven't built any gradually taller buildings to test this theory. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.149.44.23 (talk) at 14:31, 30 January 2015 (UTC). If those trees are simply variations on trees mentioned, then they have been mentioned by stating the trunk height may vary. Otherwise, if you can get a picture of the trees, it would be helpful for adding it to the article. KnightMiner (t·c) 16:35, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

Acacia Oak?

The bug file about oak trees with acacia leaves was marked as Cannot Reproduce. Nobody else could get any acacia-oak trees. I don't know where the page is. 108.216.28.48 01:01, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

I have never seen them as well, and since it is a bug, I removed it to rest only on the tracker. KnightMiner t/c 03:53, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Acacia Branches?

"Most of the time, a single tree will have between one and six branches, and each branch will have between one and six wood blocks. Acacia tree branches do not cover their branches in this way."

Can someone clarify this? Does it mean that they don't generate their branches this way? Do they not cover branches with leaves like the other trees? It doesn't make any sense as is. PhoenixofMT (talk) 00:12, 21 January 2018 (UTC)

Dark Oak generates dirt?

I was hoping someone would elaborate on this.

"...and will generate dirt blocks under their trunk if generated on a steep cliff."

is this only during world generation? I see the picture below, but am uncertain whether a tree will generate dirt if planted by the player. thanks! 140.186.134.131 23:41, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Yes, this is only during world generation. The player cannot plant saplings in air. 68.102.20.200 05:32, 13 May 2018 (UTC)

Unimplemeted Trees

I keep putting in information on the unimplemented cherry, baobab and palm trees but some son of a glitch keeps deleting it CAN YOU PLEASE STOP?!73.208.227.101 16:47, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

These are unimplemented, and therefore, no one really has any information on it. If you have proof that you are from Mojang and would like to share info, please, let me know! (oh and post it to Unimplemented features (but you don't need me to say this, you're from Mojang!)) Fezemerald (talk) 00:13, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

Really big oak trees ('Great Oaks')

Sometimes oak trees can grow really big with distinct trunks coming off the central trunk underneath the leaves. They can grow over 20-25 blocks tall and are quite rare. I am not sure of stats but they look really nice.--51.9.122.233 20:29, 17 February 2020 (UTC)

Do you have a screenshot for this? --Morpheus836 (talk) 20:33, 17 February 2020 (UTC)

Maximum Growth Volume

What is the minimum clearance needed to grow the largest possible size of any tree?

The Epicness9000 (talk) 00:21, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Tree type Minimum height clearance Minimum diameter of horizontal clearance Minimum horizontal distance of clearance from sapling(s)

{{reply}The Epicness9000}} - Most of that information is available in the description of each tree in this article. No tree is ever guaranteed to grow as large as possible even with a lot of horizontal clearance and open sky above. I once planted an oak sapling in the middle of an open plains biome and it grew no bigger than a bush about 5 blocks tall. ~ Amatulic (talk) 16:52, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

sapling obstructions

im trying to grow a oak tree on a skyblock world but its not working ive been waiting for nearly 30 mins, do mobs count as obstructions because theres a sheep that keeps walking over it Eeveeboi71 (talk) 20:28, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

2x2 Jungle Trees

I found the filling section of the page to be confusing: "2×2 jungle trees require a 5×5 column of unobstructed space at least 11 blocks above the saplings to grow (12 blocks including the saplings themselves). This column is centered on the northwestern sapling. A 3×3 area is required at the base of the tree (the level of the saplings). They can grow up to 32 blocks high." I think that some sort of photo or graphic could clear it up. I understand the 5x5 area centered on the NW sapling, 12 blocks tall, but I don't understand the 3x3 area at the base of the tree. What is that? --Howarthe (talk) 04:27, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
