Prevent eavesdropping

When you use the chat, can you control whom the message goes to?71.35.109.25 17:23, 22 February 2015 (UTC)

Type /tell <playername> <message...> to send your message to only that player. Fyreboy5 (talk) 14:06, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

Content overlap

There is currently a lot of overlap between this page and the Server page. Should we differentiate them more or simply merge them together? GoandgooTalk

I would vote for the first variant. Servers alone are a complicated topic, since we need to describe how they work, what are their settings etc. The Multiplayer article should just state overall aspects of a multiplayer game. — Agent NickTheRed37 (talk) 09:09, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
I agree that it would make the most sense to make Multiplayer sort of a hub article (similarly to Mobs). It could contains all the information common to all type of multiplayer, and then have a section which briefly describes each type (Realms, Server, and LAN) and links to the other articles, though LAN could likely be contained in that section since there is not alot to say about it. Then on the other articles, we would remove any information common to all types of multiplayer in favor of a link to this article. KnightMiner t/c 02:03, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

1.11 Chat Character Increase

I'm horrible with charts, but maybe someone should put something in the version history chart that says the chat character limit was increased from 100 to 256 in the 16w38a snapshot of 1.11?

Narrator voice?

If Narrator has a specific voice would it be worth sticking in? Or is that dumb Oakstar519 18:20, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

The "voice" of the narrator depends on your system's language iirc. The narrator is not completely added by Mojang, it just uses the one provided by your pc.
