Replacing Texture Packs with Resource Packs

I think that, since texture packs are now obsolete, shouldn't we replace the Texture pack link with Resource packs? It would make sense since there is no real need for Texture packs anymore. Warpshard 22:16, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

No. Texture packs can still be used for 1.5.2, which is in the launcher, so it really isn't obsolete and shouldn't be redirected to resource packs. --68.117.179.164 01:50, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

You cannot place a zombie spawner without mods or hacks. If you want to place one, I recommend getting tekkit and putting the map on it, placing a zombie spawner, then putting the map back in normal minecraft. No; the wiki doesn't document the fan community. Curse staff and 'celebrities' aren't considered important, and Dinnerbone is only listed as being in the 'meet and greet' event, not speaking on any of the panels. Hello,

Minecraft Version 1.6.4 has been released, I suggest adding it to the news section:

September 19, 2013 - Minecraft 1.6.4 released.

Also, I'm an admin on the dutch wiki, and I think that you can trust all admins on all the language wiki's, otherwise they didn't become admins. Could we get some sort of rank that we can edit pages like protected templates? I know that it's a lot I'm asking for, and I understand if this wouldn't be possible, but sometimes it is really annoying you have to ask an english admin to add a simple language link.

Need help with world edit plugin!

I have a mc server (68.100.247.133) and i like my spawn i have in the 1.6.2 version of it. Now 1.6.4 is out and i dont want to make a new spawn. emeralds why cant i find them?!?

Updates And Dragon eggs

The Ender Dragon egg seems useless for now, but have you heard? Jeb has come up with a red dragon hatching from the egg and follows you around! And you MIGHT be able to die it colors with dies. Jeb was not as famous as Notch, but now, he will get a LOT more credit. Jeb is responsible for this. This new feature will be in update 1.8.0! Sorry that it will take that long to add that! But still this is very amazing! And 1.7.0 is now about to be here in 2013! This update is the next right after 1.6.2, it adds new biomes, and flowers I heard. And this might not be that much! And do you have a texture creator app? Well if you see a dragon texture (just regular dragon) you will notice there is no regular "dragon" in minecraft yet! That is a sign of the new update in store! And its gray! Not red! So that means it could be died colors as well! It could be, or it could not! Lets find out soon...

"Myths" Page

The pages such as Special:SpecialPages, templates and the categories can not be accessed without actually knowing they exist and their URL. I spent ages yesterday trying to get back to the special pages but I couldn't remember the namespace or format(SpecialPages or Special_Pages) . New Layout

I'm not sure about it either. The bit at the top is quite nice, but the rest is a bit strange. I can't remember exactly what it looks like, as it looks more or less the same as before on my phone. I've seen there are 11 Languages in the wiki; Deutsch, Español, Français, Magyar, Italiano, 日本語, 한국어, Nederlands, Polski, Português do Brasil, Русский & 中文 but in Minecraft there are 66. I'd like to add a language, Euskara, which is also in minecraft. Camareri (talk) 09:31, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Just follow this link and put all necessary information, such as language, extension, etc, and then start translating. To make a translation of cobblestone, got to Cobblestone/ba(or other extension) , copy-paste in everything on the Cobblestone page, and start translating. How to make endless logs?

"Your browser either has JS disabled or does not have any supported player."

I have been able to see sound players on the Minecraft Wiki, but recently it has stopped working. An example is the page

where I do not see any of the players. I see the message

"Sorry, your browser either has JavaScript disabled or does not have any supported player. You can download the clip or download a player to play the clip in your browser."

When I select to get a player I get told that Chrome has native support for it.

JS is set to "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)". Is it a problem in Chrome or on the Wiki?
