Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In that TV series, specifically in episode 5 of its first season, it was mentioned that a hacker made zombie pigmen for Minecraft (the series is set in Marvel Cinematic Universe, a reality that drastically differs from ours). Is this enough to warrant a mention in Minecraft#References in popular culture? — Agent Nick the Red37 (talk · contribs) f.k.a. Naista2002 16:39, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

Forget it. It doesn’t. — Agent Nick the Red37 (talk · contribs) f.k.a. Naista2002 05:38, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

Seriously??? No mention of M$ ???

Guys... There is virtually no mention of Microsoft on this page, and according to the opening paragraph ..."originally created by Markus "Notch" Persson, and now maintained by his company Mojang AB. " ... "His company" ??? ... I wish it were not true also, but maybe this page should reflect reality. MrN9k (talk) 08:10, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Do not worry. I just updated the page to reflect said changes. Better? GunslingerN7Talk

Theoretical film vs. Future film

User:MarioProtIV You recently changed the name of the film from "Future film" to "Theoretical film". I believe that you are wrong on this because the movie has already been confirmed making it not "Theoretical" and therefor just in the future. Wolffillms (talk) 15:24, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Putting in my 2¢. Mario is actually correct on this one. Theatrical means acting, actors, or the theater (in this case, a movie theater). -BDJP (t|c) 15:49, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
I suppose you are right about "Theatrical" (thought it said Theoretical), however naturally any film will be "Theatrical" making "Future film" still a better title. Wolffillms (talk) 16:08, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
I don’t think “theatrical” is that much of a necessity. Also, a film may be non-theatrical (i. e. a TV film), so the topic is quite fluid. Re “theoretical”: MarioProtIV is just having some issues with English. — Agent NickTheRed37 (talk) 17:03, 30 August 2015 (UTC) with further edits
P. S. Actually you can just use both adjectives: “Future theatrical film”. Problem solved. — Agent NickTheRed37 (talk) 17:05, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Information about the game's soundtrack

I want to add information about the game's soundtrack, but I can't think of any way to put the information on the Minecraft page without causing edit wars. GunslingerN7Talk

Merge "Other Editions" and "Platforms" sections.

As there is no point in having two sections talking about the other Editions/platforms. Wolffillms (talk) 22:15, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

Agreed. It seems superfluous to have two of those sections. Anybody else agree? GunslingerN7Talk

Agree: Most of the information is redundant or would be better off with the other. I would agree to combining them under the title "Platforms" KnightMiner t/c 23:10, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
Personally I think it should be under "Other Editions" as the sections information are about the other Editions of Minecraft, rather than the platforms it is on. Wolffillms (talk) 18:34, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Notch's removal of his Minecraft progress videos

Notch's Minecraft videos (if not all of his videos) have been deleted mysteriously. What are we going to do? I ask because the "Development" section of the page relies on inline citations that lead to the videos about the progress of Minecraft, and since those videos have been deleted the citations have become "Dead links" of sorts. Anybody got any ideas or any workarounds? ~GunslingerN7 Oak Sign Paper Diamond

We have {{dead link}} to mark links which no longer lead to the target, but other than marking them I am not sure of what else to do. KnightMiner t/c 23:10, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

DEJUS sources

I can't add the sources for some of the DEJUS ratings due to the way the site works. The missing ones can be found at this link. Just type minecraft, select Todos (All) and click on Consultar (Check). Then click on Minecraft, Minecraft Xbox One Edition or Minecraft - Story Mode, and the ratings should be at the Classificação Indicativa column.--Mine4017 (talk) 14:26, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

Shouldn't this be updated to say the latest version is 1.9.3 Pre-3? It still says Pre-2. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Alexster24 (talkcontribs) at 18:56, May 3, 2016 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Images may be oddly placed on wide screens

In particular, I see the following: the crafting table image is right of the Brewing and enchanting section, the Nether image is at the The End section, the End image is at the Multiplayer section, and the PvP image is at the Minecraft Realms section. --AttemptToCallNil, previously known as GreenStone (report bug, view backtrace) 13:42, 27 May 2016 (UTC)

Typo

Under the Windows 10 Edition section, it says "avaible". 71.8.148.148 18:34, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

Minecraft will not run on a toaster

I was reading this page...and saw this:

"Minecraft will not run on a toaster (despite some actually using Java), [or] your car (feel free to prove us wrong, though)..."

Why is this here, who would expect Minecraft to run on a toaster or a car? - Luke18033 (talk) 18:26, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

Its an actual quote from the page referenced. -BDJP (t|c) 01:52, 11 September 2016 (UTC)

Separate Minecraft

I am currently working on the Java Edition page, and I have moved § Development and § Reception to there. Should these be removed from this page, and maybe replaced with stubs? – NixinovaGrid Book and Quill Grid Diamond Pickaxe Grid Map • 06:21, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

Reducing the program template

The program template (the one on the right side of the page with the authors etc) is ridiculously long and I think that now we've moved all the respective editions to their own pages, we can greatly simplify the template. Personally I think we only need to keep the Platforms section, License, Links and maybe in the Authors section link to Mojang AB. GoandgooTalk

NetEase and the China Editions

We should have some documentation of these as well. Any takers? I can provide information. Also NetEase should be listed as a partner studio. --HelenAngel (talk) 22:27, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

PC edition redirect

Why does "PC edition" redirect to this page? Wouldn't it be better if it redirected to the Computer Edition disambiguation page? If so, I'll change the redirect.--Madminecrafter12 (talk) 16:48, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

Is the ACB rating correct?

It really surprises me that the Bedrock Edition is rated "M" in Australia. Is this information really correct and if it is, does anybody know why it has such a high rating? As far as I know, Minecraft doesn't contain any sort of mature content. 194.251.19.21 08:28, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

It's based on this page on the website of the Department of Communications of Australia, so I see no reason why it would not be correct. The only reason given is "violence" which is kinda strange indeed, as Minecraft doesn't really have that realistic violence, but maybe Australians just happen to have higher standards on video game ratings. Idk. – Erufailon4 (talk · contribs) 08:57, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Minecraft is referenced in Fortnite

In Fortnite: Battle royale, the 1 HP emoticon is a reference to Minecraft, since it looks exactly like the Minecraft's health bar. This probably should be added to the "References in popular culture" section. 85.76.73.204 10:11, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

That's just a generic pixel art heart. It doesn't even look like Minecraft's, which has a single pixel of shine, instead of the two in that image. It's not a reference to Minecraft unless the developers have specifically said that it is. MajrTalk

Minecraft is referenced in xkcd

The comic 861: Wisdom Teeth in the webcomic xkcd is a reference to Minecraft. This probably should be added to the "References in popular culture" section. 85.76.97.85 08:01, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

Minecraft has been referenced in a lot of things; a section on this article isn't the appropriate place to collect them beyond an illustrative sampling. The current content in that section looks more than sufficient for demonstrating Minecraft's widely-referenced nature. ディノ千?!☎ Dinoguy1000 19:52, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

CERO rating: Dead link

The link to the source for the Console Edition age rating issued by CERO is dead. I searched their website and couldn't find a reference of ratings. Does a valid source exist at the moment? --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 15:45, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
