Duplicated icons in info box[]

Why are two types of fish buckets duplicated in the info box? The lower ones have "BE" in their code, so there is apparently some difference, but I don't see any. Fabian42 (talk) 19:45, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

The bottom two icons are from Bedrock Edition. They are slightly different from the icons in the first row. --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 19:57, 14 April 2019 (UTC)

Water bucket can also be used in Bedrock Edition.[]

In Bedrock Edition, you can also use a water bucket to catch fish, not only the empty bucket. I don't know how to edit this in with proper redirections, so I am asking a more experienced editor to do this. Thank you! JasonD157 (talk) 14:29, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Split or Rename Discussion[]

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
Majority support, page mas been renamed to Bucket of Mob. James Haydon (talk) 13:53, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

I believe the page should either be split into a bucket of axolotl and bucket of fish or else be renamed to a more generic term like "Bucket of Mob" or "Bucket of Aquatic Mob" because axolotls aren't fish. The term bucket of fish no longer works for all of the mobs discussed in the article. --Bluecrab2 (talk) 21:18, 16 December 2020 (UTC)

I'd  Oppose splitting as that would cause a lot of duplicate information, although  Weak support for rename, fish is more simplier but misleading. – Unavailablehoax (talk) 21:31, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
Agreed with Unbelievablehoax, also oppose split and weak support for move. Dhranios (talk) (Join the wiki videos project!) 21:32, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
Oppose I don't think splitting the pages is necessary, since they all produce an aquatic mob when used. CherryBomb314 (talk) 20:01, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
Support changing names with redirect, makes sense here. Don't think we need two seperate pages though. Highlandhill (talk) 12:39, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
Agree with Unavailablehoax. The Great Spring (talk | contribs) (Tagalog translation) 13:31, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

Okay, I have changed the article's template to rename discussion, I'm crossing out the split as an option and now the discussion is just about whether to rename. Bucket of mob is the simplest term I can think of to encapsulate all the possible things to go into the bucket. --Bluecrab2 (talk) 04:33, 15 January 2021 (UTC)

I strongly  Support for renaming to "Bucket of Mob", and it is not a good idea to split into pages, as they introduce nearly the same contents.--Lxazl5770zh.admin) 03:57, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
Support, for same reasons as on top MetalManiac at your service fellow human! (talk) 16:36, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
Support Oh man, Axolotls are not fish, but they are all mobs That’s Me!(ZachTheEnderman7) (talk) 04:54, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
Oppose rename. Articles about a game item should be titled the same as the game item. There is no such thing as "bucket of mob" in Minecraft. Keep the name as is and redirect Bucket of Axolotl to this page. Amatulic (talk) 15:39, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
There's also no such thing as "Bucket of Fish"... :/ Dhranios (talk) (Join the wiki videos project!) 15:45, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
But there are buckets of specific types of fish. "Bucket of Mob" is too generic. I'd like to see a better suggestion. "Bucket of small aquatic mobs" is too long. Amatulic (talk) 02:06, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
I like Humiebee's suggestion of "bucket of water mob" below. Amatulic (talk) 18:22, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
I'd  Support for renaming this page to "Bucket of Mob" but  Oppose for splitting into different pages because axolotl isn't fish but these items share some features. --Ultim 0 ( VIEW | TALK | CONT ) 16:17, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
Can I move this page now? As most people support for renaming. TheGreatSpring (talk | contribs) (Tagalog translation) 00:44, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
I'd wait a few more days. There are no deadlines here. Amatulic (talk) 02:06, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Bucket of Water Mob[]

Weakly support moving, there is not really any better name for it, bucket of water mob?????Humiebeetalk contribs 02:22, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

Support. I like "bucket of water mob" better than "bucket of mob". It is more descriptive and avoids confusion about what a bucket can contain. Amatulic (talk) 18:22, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
We don't know whether in the future there would be buckets of non-aquatic mobs. — Lumincand 14:59, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
I know, we don't need the "water" disambiguation until there exists a bucket of some non-water mob, at which time it would still fit in "bucket of mob". But "bucket of water mob" just flows better, it's a more precise description, and narrows down what kind of "mob" a bucket can hold. Amatulic (talk) 22:53, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
If say there is a bucket of... lava mob, that should be split as the main page is about mobs in water. Buckets of non-water mobs should be split into their own separate pages due to the differences in behavior. Humiebeetalk contribs 23:47, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
I think this page is moved early. TheGreatSpring (talk | contribs) (Tagalog translation) 02:18, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
Moved it back. Humiebeetalk contribs 18:21, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
The page title should be sentence case if it's not an actual in-game term.  Nixinova T  C   06:15, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

Bucket of Aquatic Mob[]

Strong support, though "bucket of aquatic mob" might work better.– Unsigned comment added by Ziad El-Moursy (talkcontribs) at 21:55, 1 June 2021 (UTC). Sign comments with ~~~~

Support sounds less awkward than "water mob" and is an actual category. Pescavelho (talk) 14:39, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
Strong support as original person to propose the water mob name, sounds less awkward and aquatic is what mojang refers to the natural water sources (oceans, rivers, lakes) where fish and axolotls spawn. (Update Aquatic, not Update <other water term>). Humiebeetalk contribs 18:21, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
