Name
The name of this page is "Amplified", but in the environment box at the bottom it is called "AMPLIFIED". Which one is right? Lennbot (talk) 08:59, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

New Images?
I was curious to see if it would be okay to add new images to this page? (I'm new to the wiki, so I don't really know anything at all..)

Depths
The rules for ores and mob spawning (depth) appear to have changed somewhat. Not to mention that amplified worlds are hard in survival and seem to have lots of hostile mobs. 50.122.179.126 02:50, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
Bedrock / Stronghold / Amplified
Strongholds in amplified are larger than normal (as expected). The world generator when creating the stronghold can extend it through the upper layers of the bedrock as low as y:2. This leaves a layer of smooth stone and bedrock with a 100% bedrock layer below.
Granted my world may be contaminated seed:2 in 1.6.4 edited to be amplified after it was introduced.
I'm curious if a stronghold can penetrate the bedrock into the void.
Using the dark oak to penetrate bedrock or in the end, there is a limit to building below y:0, I suspect either the generation would stop or the game would crash.
Horses
Do the Amplified worlds still properly generate plains that spawn horses or are those nonexisting on those kind of worlds?
System requirements
I'm a man of few words.
