The Power rail is a block to be added in Version 1.5. They will replace bug boosting (boosters will still work after the update). It was tweeted by Jeb[1] first to prepare texture pack makers where it will be. It will have 2 states, powered and unpowered.[2] Power rails will most likely be crafted with gold and sticks.[3]
Crafting
The recipe for power rails will most likely be six iron or gold ingots and a stick, similar to normal rails.
