The Beginner's guide is now more usable
I've said before that you folks should start with the tutorial pages we've got and build from there. I've just been doing a lot of work on the "First Day" tutorial, so it's now much more appealing as a basis. --MentalMouse42 (talk) 00:24, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
- Well, I was planning to base the Phase 1 Tutorials on the Beginner's Guide. The "Fresh From the Pond" tutorials are more background information for players to know before they even start playing the real game.
- I will follow through with your suggestion.

Do we still need to complete the whole game to contribute? I'm just asking. - Mchest83 · · 09:06, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
- I would think not, but you probably need a decent knowledge of Minecraft. Meeples10t ~ c 10:59, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
- No. But like Meeples10 said, you should have a pretty good knowledge of different parts of the game.

Is this project applicable?
Hello all. I originally organized the MSG with good intentions: To make an all-in-one general guide to Survival Mode. But I've realized that doing just that would be extremely difficult. I have a proposal: Instead of making a complete walkthrough to Minecraft, why not make it simpler? We could rewrite the beginner's guide and the tutorials for the few days after that. After those are done, all we would do is make a big page explaining the different things that you could do with the rest of the game and when. We would link to other pages and tutorials on the wiki where the players can have free reign of what to do.
If we were to do this, I would have an admin delete almost everything in the current MSG project, move the MSG to a new name (I haven't thought of one yet), and you could all delete your MSG talk pages (I don't remember why I made you make those.)
Please let me know what you think!

- If we put all of those tutorials together on the same page, we would need to use
{{LoadPage}}
, or it would be very laggy. Meeples10t ~ c 22:23, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
- I don't mean put a bunch of tutorials on; I mean to put lists and short explanations of things to do in the future on a page with links to their respective tutorials somewhere else on the wiki (if there are some.) This would allow players to get all the knowledge necessary, but still have free reign on what to do and when.
