Announcement
On March 7, 2016, it was announced that MineCon 2016 would take place in Anaheim, California from September 24–25.[1]

On April 18, 2016 the Minecon Website was published, displaying countdowns till tickets go on sale. A link to discounted hotel bookings is also available.
On August 12, 2016, it was announced that there would be news about the Pocket Edition API at the convention.[3][4][5]

Anaheim Convention Center

Location within the ACC for MineCon 2016 are Exhibit Halls A and D. The recommended entrance is through Exhibit Hall E, on the lower level.
Tickets
On April 18, 2016, Mojang announced that tickets will be on sale on Friday May 6th and Saturday May 7th, respectively.[7][8] The tickets were sold in two batches, each selling 6,000 tickets at $160 USD a piece (12,000 tickets in total).[7] Attendees were also given discounted hotel bookings.[9]

One: May 6, 6:00 PM PDT and 9:00 EDT
Two: May 7, 12:00 PM PDT and 3:00 EDT
