This guide is a simplified overview of all the changes in the Java Edition 1.2.x releases, which assumes at least some familiarity with Java Edition 1.1.

Mobs

Iron Golem	File:Iron Golem Revision 1.png	Spawns occasionally in villages. Created when 4 iron blocks are placed in a T-shape with a pumpkin on top.	Iron Ingot (3–5) Rose (0–2)	Defend villages by attacking hostile mobs.
Ocelot	File:Ocelot Revision 1.png	Spawns in jungle biomes.		Can be tamed using fish. Will follow and teleport to the player if they get too far away. Cats will scare off nearby creepers.

Chiseled Stone Bricks		Creative mode inventory.	Chiseled Stone Bricks can be mined with any pickaxe.	Decoration block.
Redstone Lamp			Redstone Lamps can be mined with any tool as well as by hand.	Gives off a light level of 15 when powered by redstone.
Jungle Log		Make up jungle trees.	Jungle Logs can be mined with any tool as well as by hand, with axes being the fastest way to break them.	Can be crafted into jungle planks.
Jungle Leaves	File:Jungle Leaves Revision 1.png		Jungle Leaves can be broken with any tool as well as by hand, but only Silk Touch or Shears will drop the item.	Can drop jungle saplings.
Jungle Sapling	File:Jungle Sapling JE1 BE1.png	Dropped by jungle leaves.	Jungle Saplings can be mined with any tool as well as by hand.	Can grow into jungle trees.
Spruce Wood Planks Birch Wood Planks Jungle Wood Planks		Ingredients Crafting recipe Spruce Log or Birch Log or Jungle Log 444	Planks can be mined with any tool as well as by hand, with axes being the fastest way to break them.	Used in many crafting recipes.
