This feature is exclusive to Java Edition.
The debug stick is an item used to edit the block states of blocks.
Obtaining
The debug stick is only obtainable using commands such as /give @s minecraft:debug_stick.
Usage
The debug stick can be used to change block states. Hitting the block will allow you to select the block state you wish to change, for an example, switching between the conditional and the facing blockstates for a command block. Using the block will allow you to cycle through the valid values for the block state, again as an example, you can make the command block face north, south, east, or west if you chose the facing blockstate. Sneaking while hitting or using will cycle through the block states or values in reverse order. The debug stick cannot be used while in survival or adventure mode and is only accessible in creative.

A '''Trial Key''' is an item found in [[Trial Chambers]].
Its functionality remained a mystery for a pretty good time, but on the Minecraft Monthly of January 2024, it has been revealed to open vaults, which once opened will drop an item. It's still unknown what will the loot be, but was seen dispensing the following:
Enchanted iron helmet, enchanted iron leggings, enchanted crossbow, enchanted diamond chestplate, iron, gold and diamond horse armour, enchanted golden apple, saddle, enchanted diamond axe, enchanted iron pickaxe and enchanted iron Shovel.
The trial key can currently be obtained from trial spawners (50%), or from pots and chests (8%).

Issues
Note that the Debug Stick is not supported, and any issues resulting of its usage it will be closed as "Won't Fix" in the issue tracker; issues with the stick itself are considered valid.[1][2]
