1.12, the first release of the World of Color Update[1], is a major update to Minecraft released on June 7, 2017. This update adds a new crafting system, a new function system, hints for beginners, glazed terracotta, concrete, colored beds, illusioners, and parrots. It also replaces achievements with advancements.
