Widget talk:FileUrl

Does not work anymore?[edit]

{{FileUrl|ItemCSS.png}} should return url(http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/minecraft.gamepedia.com/f/f5/ItemCSS.png), but returns url(http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/minecraft.gamepedia.com/ItemCSS.png). Same on German wiki. How to fix this? | violine1101(Talk) 16:20, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

The f/f5 bit appears to be consisted of the first two characters of MD5 hexadecimal hash for the file’s name: the first char, slash, the first two. The widget uses wikitext, and there is no parser function to generate a MD5 hash, as far as I know. Searching for extensions on the MediaWiki wiki that would provide that function gave nothing. — NickTheRed37 (issues’ wall) 17:31, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
The thing is, it worked until recently. Because of this, many sprite templates (at least on the German wiki) are messed up. | violine1101(Talk) 18:15, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
Everything regarding sprites is working fine on Russian wiki. — NickTheRed37 (issues’ wall) 14:57, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
