Removing comments[]

Hey why did you remove my comment from nixinova's talk page?????James Haydon (talk) 18:03, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

I didn't remove it. I tried to ask nixinova something by creating a new section and it bugged. So I discarded my edits. Then it bugged again so I decided to delete my question. I think I might have deleted yours without noticing (I delete my comments and questions from the bottom to the top). Sorry bro. If i can do anything for you to forgive me, then please tell me.Witheremperor2006 (talk) 21:53, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Okay i am sorry its just that deleting there peoples comments is rude and probably against the rules. James Haydon (talk) 21:58, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
I am so sorry for what i did. Even if it wasn't on purpose, its still bad. I'm really sorry and i will be more carefull.Witheremperor2006 (talk) 22:00, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Okay then, ill forgive you then, just don't do it on purpose. James Haydon (talk) 22:02, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Thanks bro. Stay healthy and good week!Witheremperor2006 (talk) 22:04, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
Okay! James Haydon (talk) 22:06, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

Chicken jockey tower[]

Could you possibly make a new render, reflecting on the Appearance section? It has 4 sitting and the top standing upright. TheOrangePick (talk) 04:07, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

Renders[]

Hey, I see you have added renders for the sunken skeleton and its armored variants, so if you have any time, can you please also make temporary renders for some other hidden depths mobs for clarity? Thanks! Blu Gy (talk) 16:53, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

Hello! Of course I can. Aldo the dlc is almost coming out it always takes time to make very accurate renders with official textures so fore temporary rendering I will. I also made the Ocean Summoner drowned but I got to correct some texture fails. See ya!Witheremperor2006 (talk) 16:22, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
Okay when the DLC realize I will ask Oakar567 to make the render, since he is responsible for almost all of the renders on the MCD wiki. James Haydon (talk) 16:27, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Gallery Updates[]

Hey I've noticed you've been updating a lot of the mob galleries (specifically the DLC mobs) with official renders from Ben Exell. Well I found their Artstation page and I found some really cool art collections on there. Here I list them:

These are all the dungeons collections he has available on his Artstation page. If you want me to look for any more official Dungeons art pages I can definitely do so! I'd recommend looking at Mariana Salimena's page since she did a lot of Dungeons related stuff.

Thoughts? James Haydon (talk) 05:14, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

Much obliged indeed! I am an all-time Dungeons fan and I thought that the galleries should be more consistent and organized. This info you provided helps a lot wen it comes to research for new content to be added to such galleries. I have no idea how to pay you for this favour. Bless you my friend. :D Witheremperor2006 (talk) 05:25, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
No problem. As I stated previously you can always ask me to look for more Minecraft Dungeons artwork for you. James Haydon (talk) 05:45, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

Mass File Uploads[]

I noticed you uploaded a very large quantity of images and gifs to the wiki, many of which being the MCD Artstation images. I want to thank you for uploading them all, although you need to make sure to select the mojang license in the licensing dropdown list on the file upload page since I had to add licenses to them individually. Also I wanted to say that some of the Mariana Salimena artwork you uploaded to the wiki actually are already on here. They are duplicates of already existing files (I.E. the Wild Update concept art or the Spooky Fall armor concepts), so make sure to check around and see if any images are already uploaded before uploading them. Also I don't think those gif images are really all that necessary since they're mostly of very minor animations for the mission select map. It seems you completely stopped editing once the file uploads were done, so I will take care of putting them on the right pages. James Haydon (talk) 18:49, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

The wiki did not accused of any duplicate pictures. That is because the ones I uploaded are the real ones and the ones that should be used in the first place from the original artist including a GIF of how she makes the concept art. Also I do not know how to License Mojang Studios as that option does not appear when I upload a picture or any sort of media file. I know I uploaded a lot of content and a lot of media however that media should have been here long ago and that's why I took time and effort to search all the pictures and upload them. However as I said, I do not know how to solve licensing. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 22:58, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
The ones that were duplicates were mostly the ones about the wild update, of course with the exception of that neat little gif, which I found pretty col. But all the other wild update artwork already exists and in much higher resolution. Also there was also duplicates of the spooky fall stuff too. That doesn't mean I don't applaud you for going out of your way and mass downloading and uploading all of the Minecraft Dungeons Artstation artwork, saving me countless hours.
About the licensing, here is a guide on how to license files in the Special:Upload page:
Opera Snapshot 2022-09-12 220742 minecraft

First off scroll down the page until you see the license dropdown bar that is highlighted in green.

Image 2022-09-12 220938730

Then click on that bar and it will give a list of different licenses. My cursor is over the Mojang license, which is the most commonly used one.

Opera Snapshot 2022-09-12 220741 minecraft

You'll know if you have selected the proper license because if so then this should appear under the licensing dropdown bar.

Anyways hope I have helped you out here. James Haydon (talk) 02:16, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
Much obliged indeed. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 06:51, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

October 2022[]

Information Your account has been blocked from editing for a period of one day, for repeatedly adding empty gallery sections to MCD:Piglin. Your block log can be found here. If you think the block was made as a mistake and/or you think there are good reasons for you to be unblocked, you may discuss the block with administrators on your talk page here. However, if this is abused, your talk page access may be revoked as well. While you are blocked, please do not create any new accounts to edit with – this is called sock puppetry and in most cases, all accounts that were created by a registered account which is blocked, will be blocked indefinitely. Once this block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. Thank you. BDJP (t|c) 21:08, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

You blocked me for removing the "File:" extensions. Those extensions were only occupying space. It was supposed to meet your criteria. Also I was about to add gameplay screenshots to the Piglin gallery. Your ban is extremely illegitimate and you contradicted your arguments by doing so. Please unblock me. I have the right to explain. After you said what you said, I did not continue, I simply removed "File:" extensions that were unneeded. Also I'd like to know how to become an admin or moderator. It's because no way I am going to have to deal with you every time you contradict yourself. I am a dedicated user who spends time and effort on this wiki. You do no0t have such rights over me. Much obliged. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 21:13, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
I did not block you for removing the "File:" extensions. I blocked you because you repeatedly added empty sections to the gallery section on the page. In your words, you stated "That info is there to warn other users that might want to fill thouse gaps" and that you "kept only the animations tab because that one needs to be filled up very soon". You did not explicitly state that you were about to add images to the sections as described. Had you stated that you were going to add images to the sections, then perhaps I would've dropped it, but you persisted, hence as to why you are blocked.
Also, as a note, asking about becoming an admin will basically leave no chance of becoming one, but in my case, it was simply the amount of time that I spent on here. BDJP (t|c) 21:20, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
I just do not want to be blocked again that's all. Also just because you are here for longer than me does not give you authority to just do what you did. In fact I invented the gallery format that Dungeons mob's have been using. I am so tired of your arrogance. You have no consideration for anything people do. In other words you are reckless as heck. Bro that is not cool at all. I just want to be unblocked that's all. I deserve to contribute to the wiki. I want to. Many people dropped this decaying place. I did not. I'm just passionate about this game's universe. Please unblock me. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 21:26, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Just going to point out that it was in fact me who was removing the "File:" extensions. They are an artifact from using the visual editor and they take up unnecessary space. If you could maybe try using the source editor when making gallery or even just in general then that would be appreciated. Also just going to point out BDJP isn't "reckless", he is just very direct an on point about things, he doesn't hesitate to take action against poorly formatted pages. It's why he got promoted to an admin by the community after all. About your block, it's only for one day because you are still a (hopefully) trustworthy contributor even if you have slip ups like these. I know many people have dropped this wiki, but there are also other like myself, Alan, and Drour who also still edit and are still capable of maintaining the Dungeons wiki in your absence. A lot of us are passionate about this game and this wiki, but you need to know that edit warring isn't the way to go. Hopefully you can see reason in why you were blocked and try to seek discussion in situations like these instead of having counter-productive edit wars so it does not happen again. James Haydon (talk) 23:59, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
You remove a lot of File: extensions but the Piglin page were removed by me. Also I use both visual and source edits. I switch between them actually. I use visual because it is easier to manipulate and more interactive and I use source to make more complex/elaborate edits. Also I think I have been useful these past weeks in the Dungeons wiki. I did not want to be an enemy of any of the people you mentioned or BDJP, but the time I apologized to him for having a rough personality and for being rude to him, he did not give a damn about my humble apology and ghosted me. He might not be reckless but for some reason he really does not like me at all. I get it, it's difficult. But I think I am useful in some way and I think I have good ideas. I've been playing the game non stop taking screenshots. When you people removed my ancient renders I quickly went to play ancient hunts to make accurate placeholders (gameplay screenshots). I added a ton of missing media and revamped entire galleries. I am not a vandalizer or bad editor to get a block. He blocked me after I agreed to follow his lead and I only kept the animations tab. I do not think it is fair. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 15:10, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
Okay So you do use source editor, cool. I do agree that visual editor is more interactive and is therefore easier for new editors but once you get really experienced with the wiki I say it's time to start giving the source editor a try and eventually make it your main type of editor. I am aware you're not a bad faith vandalizer as evidenced with your addition of large portions of Artstation images as well as your aforementioned gameplay screenshots. Don't let this situation discourage you from continuing editing this wiki. BTW your block seems to have expired by now, so no more need to sulk about it. James Haydon (talk) 21:45, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
Thank you. I'll try my best not to get into any more unnecessary conflicts. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 23:43, 4 October 2022 (UTC)

Shield's reply, and your excessive behavior on other people's user pages.[]

Hi, you mentioned that you suspect that the pillagers will mistakenly hit the shield of the Vigilant Scoundrel, I went to verify your findings, but unfortunately I did not find the situation you mentioned. Here's one of the screenshot shots I picked, shot up close with the UUU camera: Vigilant Scoundrel in game UUU camera

Later I noticed that you were testing the Vigilant Scoundrel with Shulker Armor equipped, the Deflect enchantment might cause the pillager's poison clouds arrow destroy the shield of the vigilant scoundrel, Remember next time you test the mob, please equip the armor without extra damage effect or deflect enchantment. Also, even if we have forgiven you, you are still responsible for your previous aggressive and swearing behavior on other user's talk pages. I have notified the administrator of the relevant complaint, I don’t want to target others, but everyone should be responsible for their own behavior. Me either. I hope you can think calmly before comments next time. Regards. Alan (talk) 07:41, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

I have tested it before with other armor equiped. I stand for my arguments and standards. Much obliged. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 20:35, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
If you think this is a bug, I suggest you go to MCD's bug reporter to report this bug. Because developers sometimes answer related questions on bug reporter. I have reported multiple bugs, such as the Enchanter's Pre attack sound is not used, multiple unused animations, and icon issues or other, and many of them have been answered by developer. Once they are confirmed by them. You can write this bug on wiki. Anyway I still don't understand why the report of the enchanter's unused Pre attack sounds changed from "Confirm" at the beginning to "Won't fixed" now. Alan (talk) 03:09, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
I reportedon fiery forge were you go near the dead redstone golem right in the begining of the level it glitches asnd you fall through the map. Or wen you select one pet and change it you get 2 pets at the same time in the level (kinda dope). Witheremperor2006 (talk) 21:49, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
Yes, That 2 pets bug also happens on my computer. Usually it happens when I was recording pets blinking animations and switch them. Coincidentally, that dead redstone golem structure is also on my rendering list. I'll make it after finishing other important requests.

Also I apologize to you for my former vicious manners. Sorry, in fact I'm a quarrel-averse person myself, and I've been joined in building the wiki since the Minecraft Dungeons released. I'm also become sensitive and irritable in these years because I saw many speculation feature made by unknown IP users before. Most ironically, some of them made by the wiki admin, not the English wiki admin of course. A Dungeons wiki lead admin in my language area, made some isometric renders that didn't import animations, fix bone misplacement, or didn't even render the transparent part with alpha channel. He owned the game but didn't play it a few times. I was arguing with that admin guy about Enchanter's closed arm renders. He believed that the idling enchanter's arms were always straight, not merged or closed. Later, I provided a lot of in-game screenshots and recordings to wiki group. He didn't even look at it and said that I was a rumor-monger and I was trying to mislead and fool everyone and insulted me with swear words. So I was determined to prove him wrong. I learned about blender from Oakar258 who made 90% render in this wiki during COVID-19 lockdown period. And finally that admin guy left the wiki and stop harassing us (although he sometimes pops up and complains in the summary LOL). Apologize to you again, hope we can cooperate happily in the future and maintain this wiki. Regards. Alan (talk) 10:11, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

Forgot to tell you, Master Oakar258 has 7~8 years of experience in blender and animation, but he doesn't actually own the game Minecraft Dungeons, so I usually provide him with the clearest possible close-up in-game screenshot by using UUU camera. If you have any renders you would like us to make, you can write

In addition, Oakar has said that he will not buy Minecraft Legend, but he may also use game files provided by others to create renderings of Legend in the future.Alan (talk) 10:16, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

I am happy and delighted to understand you are a person of true character and that you understood my side of view. I am happy to finally work and collaborate in the dungeons wiki has your friend and collegue instead of antagonist. Indeed, the better we all deal with each other, the better our cooperation and edits will become. Thank you very much for your attention and the information you provided. I did new oakar for making renders but i barelly edited anything at the time. Currently I am exploring the fauna fair seasonal adventure. There is a lot of work to do with this new season. I am excitted for the future of the dungeons wiki. Again, thank you. Witheremperor2006 (talk) 18:19, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

We'd like to hear your thoughts[]

Hey there! If you haven't heard, we've decided to move away from Fandom to a new, independent wiki. I noticed you've contributed quite a bit, so I'd really appreciate your input on our skin designs for the new wiki, whether you think we should enable dark or light mode by default, and if you have any other feedback. You can leave your feedback on this page. I hope you can join us over there! - Harristic (talk) 14:58, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
