Just a notice[]

Please note that there is a broken redirect leading from User:Treeislife2 to User:TreeIsLife. The problem is that User:TreeIsLife doesn't exist yet and instead redirects you to UserProfile:TreeIsLife. I advise you to create User:TreeIsLife to avoid false positives. --Ljcool2006 (talk) 16:53, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

... Ok, thanks for attention. Recently, i've been renamed and i had to solve this problem 2 times. So ok. --TreeIsLife (talk) 17:16, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
UPDATE: It seems that changing the redirect to the UserProfile namespace had no effect on this problem. I suggest that you create the page User:TreeIsLife and change the redirect on User:Treeislife2 to User:TreeIsLife. Also change the redirect on User:User-100170152 to User:TreeIsLife as well. --Ljcool2006 (talk) 20:03, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Can't gamepedia (not mediawiki as profiles are gamepedia exclusive) just act like user profiles are pages? It thinks special pages are pages and there are 2 issues
  1. When searchings, it says that the page does not exist (Create the page UserProfile:Example!) but it's not a redlink
  2. It shows is SP:Broken redirects

Submitted a ticket to Gamepedia. --Ljcool2006 (talk) 20:29, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Actually, I will use {{Fake redlink}} to fix this---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 23:48, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Well... that template did not work as it just turned into a soft redirect (didn't show in broken redirects though), also tried {{sl}}, same thing, just the link appeared blue. Should I put it as a soft redirect to prevent it from showing in broken redirects or leave it how it is?---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 23:52, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Desert PYRAMID files[]

The current situation is, that your [[File:Desert temple JE1 BE1.png|28px]] is still incorrect naming. The structure is called desert pyramid, not desert temple. Does the wiki have a render for a witch hut? No, because its name is swamp hut -FezEmerald EmeraldTalk to meLeather Cap (item)See what I've been up to)Emerald 14:28, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

So, THEN DO SOMETHING! Why not redirecting to image? --TreeIsLife (talk) 18:50, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

OneClickArchiver[]

When archiving, make sure to organize the topics on the archive to have more accuraccy, and order.---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 23:00, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

Also, when putting {{Close topic}}, make sure to add {subst:Template} before.---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 00:03, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
{subst:Template} won't work. You meant Template:Template or {{Close topic}} ?--TreeIsLife (talk) 05:23, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
Like template as in what ever template your using, in this case, close topic (only for the templates that cause the page to have templates requiring subsitutuon.)---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 20:09, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
Did not understood (maybe because it is 6 months old), but ok 🤣 --TreeIsLife (talk) 13:21, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Template:Information[]

Did removing Template:Information made by community decision? If yes, source, please. And why are you removing info from "date", "author", and "other versions" strings? Deshman-gpuser (talk) 16:11, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Not really, but... https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/User_talk:BDJP007301/Archive_3#Notes_concerning_end_compilation --TreeIsLife (talk) 15:46, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
"We use the file pages as a dumping ground for categories and licenses. We don't have any style guide for them, nor do we routinely use any templates for describing all the details of a file (like the barely used {{information}}, which I would be fine with getting rid of entirely). Put whatever the hell you like there, if you ask me, I doubt anyone cares about them."

Well it's personal opinion not really call to remove it. Before you continue such global change please create topic on Minecraft Wiki talk:Community portal so editors can decide. Deshman-gpuser (talk) 16:11, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Problem is it is so invaluable thing, most of these things can be found in File history section under a file description. It does not make a sense to just keep it --TreeIsLife (talk) 16:39, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Java Edition Guide[]

"Link to guide was added few hours before 1.17 released" except it wasn't, it was added long before that. -- Ardeiwann | (talk|activity|contribs) 19:09, 26 February 2022 (UTC)

ATreeBot[]

Noticed you have a bot account, User:ATreeBot, but it lacks bot rights. Make sure to request from one of the bureaucrats to get the bot right on that account (feel wrong for me to request it on your behalf). As part of the request, its customary to give a brief description of what the bot will be doing on the wiki. --KnightMiner (t/c) 09:18, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

Hey there! The issue with requesting rights is that bureaucrats are inactive and Oishi appears once in a while too. But it seems this is already being solved and should get rights soon. I'm already done with the edits for now, since most of the pages got their images changed --TreeIsLife (talk) 10:03, 21 February 2023 (UTC)

WTH?![]

Stop reverting my changes, Cherry Blossom needs a capital B to be parity with Cherry Grove (with a capital G)! I don't care about another wood type that doesn't even relate to Cherry Blossom! The rest of the wiki has capitals! RickWasAlreadyTaken (talk) 12:08, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

This is not how it is done. The first should be proposing the "move" - you add a section to talk page and a {{Move}} notice to page. Then, you wait some time, before moving. And then the most important flaw you did: Never copy-paste a page! There is a function to move the page with its history. Additionally, I recommend to read the style guide, as there is an entire section about capitalization. --TreeIsLife (talk) 12:24, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

Drafts Extension[]

Hey there! I am reaching out to you with news regarding the Drafts Extension. It will be sunsetted in about two weeks due to it being no longer maintained and very broken with the upcoming MW upgrade 1.39. I wanted to give you a heads up to save your draft elsewhere before then so you won’t lose what you are working on. An alternative to this feature will be provided in the future, I will be keeping this community updated about the process as it develops. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! — OishiiOnIno ( talk ) 19:09, 16 March 2023 (UTC)

Hidden advancement note[]

Hello,

I was wondering why you reverted my edit on the page Advancement. How is not putting the message for every instance of the note an error? If you could please explain, I would greatly appreciate it.

PurPur13 (talk) 19:06, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

Hey there!
I already had posted it on Discord, but I'll post it here anyway. All of the references with name `hidden` on Advancements page have to have description, as they are transcluded to other pages too and only the description of the reference with a description will work, while other error out because they cannot find the reference description --TreeIsLife (talk) 19:42, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
Ok, I understand now. Thank you for explaining! PurPur13 (talk) 20:15, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
