Baby zombie riders[edit]

I haven't seen any on the PS4 Edition? Terronscibe (talk) 22:57, 10 January 2019 (UTC)

The page says "in Bedrock Edition, baby zombies can also ride:" so it doesn't need to specify that they're not in PS4 edition. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 23:03, 10 January 2019 (UTC)

I've been playing ps4 edition for over a month. Today I just saw a bdby zombie riding a cat.. This game is weird, because of the several different versions. Terronscibe (talk) 22:49, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Well, in that case you test it out more and then should replace the sentence on the page with "{{in|bedrock|PlayStation 4}}" (but it might apply to all console editons tho). – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 23:25, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Nice template you created[edit]

I are happy for you while you created the {{dev}} template! I love it! I created another template like that in my userspace and I could use that while creating snapshot pages. Excellent job!--Wikipedia-logo.png psl85 (talkcontribs) 20:13, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

@Psl85: Thanks :) Do you have any suggestions for what should be added to it, or what inprovements could be made? – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 20:29, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

Hey Nixinova,

I see while you accidentally click the [rollback] link, and I have found a script that gives a confirmation message that you need to confirm the message to penform the rollback. Copy/paste this text to your common.js:

(function() {
	if(/Android|webOS|iPhone|iPad|iPod|BlackBerry|IEMobile|Opera Mini/i.test(navigator.userAgent)) {
		$(".mw-rollback-link").on('click', function(e) {
			var linkText = $(,
				count = linkText.match(/\d/) ? linkText.match(/\d+/)[0] : null,
				message = 'Rollback ' + (count ? count + ' edits' : 'edit') + ' by ' + mw.util.getParamValue('from', + '?';
			if(!confirm(message)) return e.preventDefault();

that gives a confirmation message "Rollback 1 edit by (user)?" and you may click "OK" to penform the rollback, if you accidentally click the [rollback] there is a confirmation message you need to confirm if you need to rollback edits. Enjoy it! --Wikipedia-logo.png psl85 (talkcontribs) 19:37, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

Oooh, I'm stealing that too, if you don't mind. :D FVbico (talk)
Oh, me too. -BDJP (t|c) 19:42, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Are you sure this works? I just tried it from both a diff screen, and a history screen, and there was no verification button popping up. And yes, I put it in my common.js (excluding the commented out nowiki lines). FVbico (talk) 19:46, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Here is a version that works for desktop users also: Copy/paste into common.js:
(function() {
		$(".mw-rollback-link").on('click', function(e) {
			var linkText = $(,
				count = linkText.match(/\d/) ? linkText.match(/\d+/)[0] : null,
				message = 'Rollback ' + (count ? count + ' edits' : 'edit') + ' by ' + mw.util.getParamValue('from', + '?';
			if(!confirm(message)) return e.preventDefault();
Enjoy it -- Wikipedia-logo.png psl85 (talkcontribs) 19:48, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Ah yes, thank you! FVbico (talk) 19:51, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Thank you very much! Rollback is directly above [diff] so I keep on clicking it. This will be very useful! – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 20:06, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Psl85 There seems to be an issue with this; every time I click on the revert, and then I click on the text input (when I clicked on the pencil) it wants to verify I want to rollback again, and unselects the text (thus creating an endless loop of being unable to input text for rollback summary. FVbico (talk) 12:32, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
@FVbico Please ask another user on another wiki (such as Wikipedia or another GamePedia wiki) if you want a better version with the script, or are you experienced with js and can modify the script? If possible, please modify the script and then you might be able to rollback without confirmation on while you click the "summary" button. I cannot javascript and I cannot help sorry 😢 -- psl85 (talkcontribs) 12:59, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

Requesting deletions[edit]

Hi, when you add {{delete}} to pages, could you please add the reason as well? In most cases (stuff like author request and obvious spam/vandalism can be exceptions, as there it is pretty obvious), a deletion template on a page doesn't do much good without a specified reasoning as patrolling admins don't know why the page needs to be deleted. Thanks!-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 02:44, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

Hey dude, could you explain what you mean with "unencyclopedic"? Is it a reference to something specific in the wiki-rules/style-guide? 19:57, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Is this referring to custom servers/MCSharp? I've since fixed it up. It wasn't that unencyclopedic, I was mainly just going through subpages of custom servers and trying to remove all the outdated advertising ones. I've cleaned up the page – remember not to use level 1 headings (= text =) and instead start with level 2 headings. Sorry if I wasn't more clear. Also, how have you kept the same IP for 5 years? – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 20:57, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
Thanks a lot! Glad to see the page finally looking decent. Fixed IP is all part and parcel of the surveilance state I live in :( :P 23:07, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

My edit[edit]

hey why did you undo my edit in the nether reactor core page Covfefe2020 (talk) 15:54, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

History information should go in the "History" section of the article. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 18:20, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

Why removing a ref for mooshroom conversion?[edit]

See [1326664] Somehow you removed the proof from reddit. This is not documented on minecraft blog, so I added it. Why exactly? Liachmodded (talk) 00:21, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

It doesn't need a reference if it's easily recreatable in game. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 01:14, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

You are contributing to an edit war, stop now or I'll report you to a moderator[edit]

This has got to stop and the previous edits that the original guy did somehow broke the json and jar files, you contributing to an edit war Magic started isn't helping. 18:55, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

You are being reverted for adding nonsense to the page. Stop that. The json and jar will be fixed soon, you do not need to continue adding threats to the page. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 18:59, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

Reverting on smoker[edit]

So if U can please stop deleting my edit on the smoker... I'm giving advice how to use it! So please stop... I will not stop editing it until U stop deleting it. Thank U!!! ☺️ Minecraftalbanialine (talk) 12:14, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

Who broke the clientdl tag and why did you unstandardise the links?[edit]

It was perfectly normal before why did you have to break it? 18:12, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

I didn't break it on purpose. I modified {{version nav}} to work with a Java Edition prefix and for some reason that must have broken something. I will try to fix it now. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 18:19, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
I fixed the download links not showing in this edit, where the version nav didn't show the download links if the version prefix existed. I also changed the In(f)dev links yesterday as the bot that was preparing for moving the Java pages to their prefixed title changed the name format to better match what the versions were actually called (which is also a much smaller format). – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 18:25, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
Ah that makes sense, I thought someone was vandalising or a private decision was made to remove the links 18:59, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

how did you get indev to work?????????????-- 02:44, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

You download the jar and json and place them inside a folder with the same name as the json and jar insidd the versions folder of .minecraft. E.g., if the jar and json were called "in-20100105", the folder should be called "in-20100105" and placed in /versions/. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 02:53, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

Following the discussion on the community portal, I have given you the administrator role, although apparently it took me three different user rights changes to remember to remove the redundant groups and add the director bit as well. :P I left a quick note at MCT:Community portal#Nixinova for admin, which I'd recommend you take a look at. Congratulations!! Let me know if you have any questions, particularly adminship-related ones. Cheers, --Madminecrafter12 (Talk to me | View what I've done) 02:15, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Creeper protection[edit]

Hey, just courtesy notifying you that I've reprotected Creeper. Unfortunately, it's a day after the unprotection and there has been lots of extreme vandalism just now from a variety of different IPs and even move vandalism from an account. I've protected for three months for now, but given how iconic and popular the creeper is, it's probably just going to be be vandalized after that so I'm planning on reprotecting indef if that happens. Let me know if you have any objections. Thanks, --Madminecrafter12 (Talk to me | View what I've done) 03:48, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

About editing earlier[edit]

I deleted the part where the information is duplicated. And we restored the one with more information content and made it emphasize things about the villagers. It would be easier for their to confirm the information. Since it is your subjectivity that the former was better, I think it is better to take the questionnaire and then delete it. In addition, in that situation only the witch will not be listed in the About column. So I think it is better to add at least a witch. Pppp1028 (talk) 08:15, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

Why did you delete my 'MCDWiki' page?[edit]

It was needed for my signature. Now you broke my signature. I don't know what you mean for me to do if I "Really want this". Could you please either undo the deletion or explain what you mean? --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table Revision 1.png VillagerFace.png Diamond Sword TextureUpdate.png 11:24, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

The reason I created "MCDWiki" is because of the signature character limit. I can't fit the whole link into there without deleting something, so I had to make the redirect. With that page gone, you broke my signature. --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table Revision 1.png VillagerFace.png Diamond Sword TextureUpdate.png 11:39, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
HINT: CLICK THE DIAMOND SWORD. --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table Revision 1.png VillagerFace.png Diamond Sword TextureUpdate.png 11:40, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Change the link to "MCW:Projects/Minecraft: Dungeons". You don't need to make a new page just for your signature. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 19:20, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Check the signature character limit, then check the characters required for my signature. -> -> AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table Revision 1.png VillagerFace.png Diamond Sword TextureUpdate.png 19:58, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Change your signature field to {{subst:User:Awesomeninja886/Signature}} and tick the box that says "display as wikitext". Then put your signature on that page. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 20:20, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Okay, thanks! Will do. --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table Revision 1.png VillagerFace.png Diamond Sword TextureUpdate.png 20:28, 29 May 2019 (UTC) (probably the last time I will use this signature)

Also, why did you move my project?[edit]

You moved the "Minecraft: Dungeons Wiki Project" to "Minecraft: Dungeons project". I would like you to please move it back for several reasons:

  • The original is more descriptive.
  • You broke my PlanetMinecraft post, so no-one's going to contribute.
  • You also broke my signature by deleting my redirect, but that's another issue.
  • If you wanted to move it you probably should have contributed to the project and took it to the talk page.

Please revert the edit or explain why you made it. --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table Revision 1.png VillagerFace.png Diamond Sword TextureUpdate.png 11:37, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

Awesomeninja886 The original is not at all grammatically correct and redundant. "Minecraft:Dungeons" is not correct at all and you don't need the "Wiki Project" there because it's already in the name. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 19:21, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
Okay, first of all, you still should have contributed and taken this to the talk page if you wanted this done. Second of all, the title "Minecraft: Dungeons [project]" sounds like I'm making some build inside Minecraft. No, I'm making a Minecraft: Dungeons Wiki. If you're trying to be grammatically correct, change it to "Minecraft: Dungeons Wiki [project]". --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table Revision 1.png VillagerFace.png Diamond Sword TextureUpdate.png 20:01, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

Converting talk pages to "static" using escaped links[edit]

Hey Nixinova, I notice that you've started converting talk pages to replace all links with external links. I can't find the discussion that lead to this, but I have to say, I don't fully agree with this. We should not be removing links from talk pages, this is a mechanism that should only be reserved for archived talk pages. Pinging Majr as well, because I remember his participation in the subject on Discord some time ago. – Jack McKalling [ Grid Book and Quill.png Grid Diamond Pickaxe.png ] 08:31, 1 June 2019 (UTC)

I've changed all archives to use it as well as just a few offending non-archives (with many redlinks). – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 08:34, 1 June 2019 (UTC)
Aside from the small discussion on the admin noticeboard, it was mainly on discord. I don't agree with escaping or making any modifications to unarchived messages though. Maybe they are meant to be redlinks as part of the discussion? If the discussion is so old that it's filled with redlinks then it should be archived so it can be converted to static. Otherwise it should be left alone. MajrTalk
08:47, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
Feel free to revert any of my edits to unarchived pages if you want. I may have blindly added a couple pages to my queue that I possibly shouldn't have. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 08:49, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
I started reverting a couple of these, but it turns out I'm too late already. Some pages already received complicated edits after the edit in question, which makes it impossible to use the undo function. And using the historical-edit method will require manually re-doing all later edits, which on itself is yet another bot task. For example, Template talk:Environment is a real pain to undo. Also, I've tried using this list to find the affected pages. – Jack McKalling [ Grid Book and Quill.png Grid Diamond Pickaxe.png ] 09:44, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
I think I've fixed the non-archives that use it. Sorry for the inconvenience. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 19:21, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
I'm also partially to blame, I've been using some escaped links to remove redlinks; with the intention to clean up the wanted page list. FVbico (talk) 09:47, 7 June 2019 (UTC)

Obsolete parameters to {{Exclusive}}[edit]

I agree with you about "console" being a convenient nickname for "legacy console". It was always, and only, "console" before Better Together Update, which is when all the parameter names got shaken up. I don't remember what the argument was for changing "console" to "legacy console", but there must have been a persuasive one because most of them were apparently changed, and that's why I treated "console" as deprecated. But I still use it personally, and I'm pleased that you de-deprecated it.

However, you also added "pc" and "computer" as deprecated names. Those aliases were removed from the template quite some time ago. If they were used anywhere, the template would generate bad links and categories by default, so I'm sure they aren't being used and won't be in the future.

When you removed "console" from the list, all the pages disappeared from the maintenance category, so there must not be any instances of "pc", "computer", or "pocket" anywhere any more. Since updating them was the only purpose for the category, I plan to delete it and back out the template updates that populated it. Do you see any flaws in that plan? – Auldrick (talk · contribs) 20:22, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

If there's no pages in the category anymore, then you can tag it for deletion as the deprecation is done. I added pc and computer just in case anything was using them at all, but there's not. Those parameters can be removed from the template now. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 20:28, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

About revision 1392610[edit]

Hey, Nixinova. I'm a Chinese user from mcw-zh. I'm not expert at English though, but every punctuation reference told me that periods and commas always go inside quotation marks. I wonder if you could be so nice to give me some style references about this grammatical problem.--kaniol 10:51, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

There are different styles depending on where the audience lies. In American English, periods and commas are always put within the quotation marks, due to some legacy typewriting conveniences. But in British English, nowadays they are usually put outside the quotation marks. I'm Scottish so I prefer the latter, however since this wiki uses American English, apparently we're probably supposed to put them inside. You can read more about this on Quick and Dirty Tips: How to use quotation marks. – Jack McKalling [ Grid Book and Quill.png Grid Diamond Pickaxe.png ] 12:24, 17 June 2019 (UTC)
These weren't even quotation marks in this case, just apostrophes used for producing <i> tags. --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 15:10, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

Please opine[edit]

Hiya, Nix! I'm Java :)

I'm wondering, to your knowledge, has anyone written down the format of these commmands subpages that I've been working on? If not, may I (or shall we) create such a page, aimed at maintaining them in the same style?

I've started a topic or two on the Commands talk page, and they're getting very little community feedback. Maybe not enough people see that talk page. Is it better to hold such discussions on the Wiki Guidelines talk page or even the Minecraft Forum? —JavaRogers (talk) 20:15, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

I have commented on Talk:Commands. In cases like these, you can be bold and add the headers since I really don't think anyone would objects at all. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 20:52, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

Auto list of devversions in Template:Version nav doesn`t have necessary <br>, so long name(BE beta&JE Pre-Release) inside will display messilier than short name(JE Snapshot).I want to ask if there is any solution of it. -Jingji132 (talk) 07:47, 13 August 2019 (UTC)

@Jingji132: What are you proposing to be changed? Do you want things like "1.14.4 Pre-Release 3" to display as just "Pre-Release 3" or something?  Nixinova T  C  04:17, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
I mean auto line feed instead of putting a version name in two lines.-Jingji132 (talk) 07:39, 15 August 2019 (UTC)

1.15 Unconfirmed Features[edit]

Dear Nixinova,

It appears that you seemingly keep undoing my addition for unconfirmed changes in 1.15. Look, it's under unconfirmed for a reason. Because it's not confirmed. I'm not making up these unconfirmed features, man. There is a potential plan for Mojang to update the Savannah in 1.15, and the Desert in the major update following that. The Jungle and Swamp portions may be incorrect, but there was a tweet that talked about jungle and swamp villages. One thing for certain is that there may be a future of jungle and swamp villages, as that tweet saying that players can just design villages for jungle and swamp villagers did not completely rule out the addition of jungle and swamp villages in the next update. Officialfelixkjellberg (talk) 00:02, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

That section is for features that developers have stated they may add, or features seriously mentioned by them during development. The biome vote doesn't fit this criteria as it's not been confirmed which biome, if any, will be added. And Mojang have stated that the jungle and swamp villagers are just skins and won't have respective villages unless you can provide a source that says otherwise. See MCW:VERSIONS#Unconfirmed features and WP:CRYSTAL.  Nixinova T  C  00:05, 23 August 2019 (UTC)

I was the one that added the trading to the Water Bottles page. Sorry about that. I see why the change was reverted. Several of the pages here are confusing because they deal with multiple objects. So "Water Bottle" redirects to "Potions". Fair enough. And the "Potions" page mentions "Splash Potions" and "Lingering Potions" at the top of the page. However, there is NO MENTION of or link to "Glass Bottles". I think this should be added to prevent confusion. It would have helped me realize that Glass Bottles and Water Bottles were not the same in-game object and had separate pages. So please do that. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) at 22:18, 31 August 2019 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Searching for "glass bottle" finds the page fine. Those hatnotes just distinguish between different types of potions. I have added a note to the top of the page, though.  Nixinova T  C  23:13, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

Easter eggs[edit]

I have reorganized the whole Easter eggs page. I really did hate the old layout so let me know if the new version is good or not. Adrianh2004 (talk) 00:22, 7 September 2019 (UTC)

Is it cyan or blue?[edit]

It is a very common misconception that cyan is a shade of blue. But if you look at it from an RGB perspective, it is (0,255,255) which means it is equal parts green and blue light. So rather than being a shade of blue (or green), it is, in fact, its own colour. The same way magenta is equal parts red and blue light, and yellow is equal parts red and green light. For the sake of not having the time or energy to edit war, I'll leave it as saying blue. But there is definitely a difference between cyan and blue and it drives me nuts that nobody knows the difference. Using the Colour Picker tool in photo-imaging software will show that the Nether Wart Forest Blue images are made actually of shades of cyan. But I guess the "blue" term will stand, since the devs themselves have called it blue, and I can't be bothered to edit war. Also, if you're one of those who "went to art school", they usually don't teach cyan there either. User-9892733 (talk) 01:05, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

Mojang called it blue so the article will call it blue. We shouldn't just make up names to use. Also, if you're being extremely nitpicky, then that colour is "aqua" and cyan can be more blue than #0ff.  Nixinova T  C  01:57, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

I think "Aqua" and "Cyan" can be used interchangeably (according to Wikipedia anyway). The "bluer" cyan is the one used for printing. I'm not sure what its hex value is though but I know what you mean, that "printer" cyan is definitely closer to blue than green. But alas, Mojang did indeed call the biome blue... which is strange because they even put a cyan dye in the game. User-9892733 (talk) 10:34, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

I need your help[edit]

Sorry for tomenting you, Nixinova, however, I would like to ask a favor. Can you delete the ==Shoat== Section that I did in 1.16? I am feeling kind of ashamed from my post right now. Hey there! I saw that you had created the most recent iteration of the Crafting Table image, and I was wondering: do you Minecraft Wiki peeps have some fancy-schmancy sorta tool to create isometric-projection images of all the blocks, like how I presume was done with the Lectern as well? I'd really like to know, 'cause I'm working on a wiki for a minigame that features a buncha custom models and textures, and I want to show 'em all on the wiki.
