Moving pages

Please don't rename/move pages by copying the page content to the new title and redirecting the old one. That fragments the page's edit history, which is problematic as full edit history is required for copyright attribution reasons.

If you want to rename a page, you should use the "Move" option (usually under "More" in the top bar), which allows all of the page history to be moved under the new title. If this isn't possible due to the new title already existing as a redirect, please place {{move|(new title)|(reason for moving)|adminneeded=1}} on the page, though for more controversial moves it would be better to discuss it on the talk page as well. –Sonicwave ^talk 05:25, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Sorry for not replying before, apparently pings aren't working correctly? Even if what you describe were case, the account was created for the sole purpose of giving your discussion support. Copy-paste moving

Never move pages by copying and pasting their contents to a new title as this removes the credit for the contents of the page and creates a headache trying to reconcile the two pages.  Nixinova  T  C  20:54, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
