Why I was demoted

with the awards over, I wish to share why I was demoted. I could not before, but now, the reasons can be put to light to all you confused editors.

22:17 Kizzycocoa Hey, guess what guys? I can finally speak with my tongue untied
22:19 Kizzycocoa I knew about the result all this time. They leaked the video. I wanted notch to know, so I asked kappische to pass on the message. a lot. and when notch read it and saw me repeatingly telling him to for obvious reasons, he asked me to calm down.
Kizzycocoa I did that all in complete secrecy to not ruin the awards.
22:20 Kizzycocoa and, due to my eagerness about them winning, I stand before you, a fellow user. so, yeah. fun times. now you can all know without me fearing any loss of face
Kizzycocoa in fact, I feel I shall gain some bloody dignity back now. woo.
22:21 Kizzycocoa and, do you know -why- I tried to talk to him? to help him decide what to do with the awards that were pointless to him, and also, to maybe release cake early, as a christmas gesture.
22:22 Kizzycocoa so, yeah. now I can talk, that is what I am guilty of. over-eagerness at winning the awards.
Kizzycocoa I see it as injustice, but to all, their own opinion.

when I talk there, I speak from the heart. I do see it as injustice. and no offence, but as a human, I am allowed to comment and elaborate on my own demotion, and mojang and the wiki should see no issue with this explanation.

So, now you know why. I hope I have helped you all to understand. my eagerness to make the community and notch happier, messaging notch a lot (lets face it, how else can you get to him?), and messaging kappische, what, three times? that is why I am no longer editing with freedom from the preview button.--Kizzycocoa 22:37, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind me asking, but I thought you were demoted when you opposed Quatroking in the Herobrine page controversy. You know, when he said "enjoy no longer having administrative rights." Jaeil 07:21, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
yes, but I was re-promoted. That was after the huuuuuuuuuge vote thing I started.--Kizzycocoa 15:15, 29 December 2010 (UTC)
I don't want to brag, I don't want to offend anyone, but here goes. Thanks for the great work to bring herobrine's page to light. I saw how you "struggled" with the issue (I guess, some people, admins alike, didn't welcome herobrine's page very warmly). This couldn't have been possible without you. I wanted to help you in this issue with all I could, and I think we finally have come to a solution (see chat on Quatro's talk page, (sorry for the link being external, that way there was much less hassle with getting it to point to correct part... Lazy me.) the herobrine part). We now have the page up and running. I hope my work there helped you. Just, thanks. Thanks to you and Quatro. We finally have an agreement. :) | TheKax | Talk 07:51, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
thank you! for both the help and saying I was a major help too! I would never mind if the page was a silly thing like steve the slime, but I felt this page was too vital to be deleted, especially as it's an in-joke.--Kizzycocoa 08:11, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Well, I'm glad someone had the guts to clarify Herobrine's non-existance.
Speaking of clarifying Herobrines non-existance, I recently made a post on the Herobrine 'talk page' to help clarify the issue as to wether or not Herobrine was going to be added (And I know for a fact that he isn't - because I looked up the post that Jeb replyed to when he 'mentioned' Herobrine). One thing that I chose not to mention (because then my post would be regarded as 'speculation') was that the manner in which Jeb posted about Herobrine suggests that even if he was going to be added, it seems more likely that Herobrine would be a friendly mob rather than a vengeful miner. --Mordakai95 - Post added @ 9:42 PM December 4 2011 -
Herobrine has never existed. this was common fact. I have however clarified he may be added. also, never take Mojang based on what they say. they also said lanterns would exist. --Kizzycocoa 21:00, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
But that's the thing - I know for a fact that Herobrine isn't going to be added. "How?" might you ask? Because I looked up the post that Jeb was initially replying to - a joke about getting lost in a Nether fortress and needing help to get out. Not enough proof? Jebs second post was refering to the new Blaze mob, which seems ghost-like enough for me. They float, shoot fireballs and spawn from Monster Spawners. If this isn't enough proof that Herobrine isn't going to be added, then at least consider the way that Jeb posted about him. Jeb posted about him like he was joking around, but even if Herobrine was "coming", the way in which Jeb posted about him suggests that he would come as a friendly mob.
Also, I knew that when Lanterns didn't come out in the Haloween update that they wouldn't come at all, mostly because of the negative reception by several of my friends who also play Minecraft -- Mordakai95 - Post added @ 4:40 PM December 8 2011
I can see that, but what of the first twitter on that page? you cannot get more direct than that. --Kizzycocoa 09:10, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
You "can see that", but the tweet that Jeb was replying to was a joke about getting lost in the Nether Fortress, so If I were Jeb, chances are that I would use the opportunity to joe about Herobrine. Thing is, that is exactly what Jeb did - used the opportunity to joke about Herobrine.
Even if I haven't convinced you that Herobrine isn't coming, at least mention the tweet that Jeb was replying to on the Herobrine page (such that the Minecraft Wiki can't be accused of bias by people like my self who check sources). -- Mordakai95 - Post added @ 9:29 AM December 9 2011
hmm. didn't see that. however, it has not been uncommon for Mojang to flip-flop. they even reached out to steam on twitter to restart trying to get MC on there. you can't underestimate them. ever. --Kizzycocoa 22:37, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Subarticles?

Is it possible to make one?

yes. by doing something like: Tutorials/

I must also please urge you, do NOT comment in articles, even with "< !--"'s, upload images that add little to pages, and add in things to do with hacking objects into the inventory.
your edits are, quite honestly, checked regularly. I'm not saying this to hurt your feelings, but please, think before editing. does the page need this image? should I really be adding this comment? etc. etc. --Kizzycocoa 14:45, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

When you create your article, call it Tutorials/Articlename, instead of just Articlename. That'll put it in the tutorials subsection. Don't forget to edit the main Tutorials page to link to your article as well. --DannyF1966 17:07, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Edits

Hey, I have a good deal of expirence with a wiki, and this is by no means my first one. I see that some of my edits can be see as either fake or vandalism, but if you see me constantly doing that, then you can atleast same something on my userpage. On my recent one, I even offered to turn in proof if needed, and I tried to make sure my wording was extremely specific. What im trying to say is, if you gonna keep reverting all my edits, atleast let me know. In the mean time, I use the talk page for validation first. Anyway, I just donated a nice template for this wiki as an apology for any trouble i caused. –The preceding unsigned comment was added by AnimalKirby (Talk|Contribs) . your edit was fake and wrong. also, you should NEVER make templates just for users. It's just not allowed.--Kizzycocoa 22:37, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

If you mean the diamond one, I can understand that one sounding fake. But, a fire does jump over a one block gap and if you dont belive me, go light a tree on fire thats next to another tree. If you serious want me to make a video on each and everything i find about minecraft, then so be it. That kinda hurts too , buts its ironic cause i use to be a rollbacker... –The preceding unsigned comment was added by AnimalKirby (Talk|Contribs) . I do believe you. However, I feel the range has not been truly tested. I believe it may be two blocks. potentially even three. Also, the edit suggested jumping over the gap, but declined to consider people may think it might jump over a wall.--Kizzycocoa 23:11, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Your Opinion?

Hello. I see you are quite prevalent on this wiki. I was wondering if you could read something over; I think you might be interested.

I know this is probably not the best place to put this, but if you could suggest someway for me to move it within my userspace (but not take up the front page of my name) I would greatly appreciate it. If you do not have the time, or the desire, I understand. Thank you for your time, and I hope you read what I've linked you to. Frozenne 11:12, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

uh, I have no idea in what -sense- you mean. as a page, it shouldn't really have suggestions on it IMO. the suggestions itself, 25/75. I agree with Herobrine, but not giants, aspergite or the games.
Thank you for reading my post. As I had said, I did not believe that my userpage was the proper place to put this, although my comment may have been written in such a way for that not to be portrayed accurately. I was hoping that, as you seem to understand wikitype and have been helpful for multiple users, you would have a suggestion for a place I could move it to; that was probably a bit impolite of me to not completely clarify, and I do apologize.
On a secondary note, did you read my suggestions thoroughly? Did you have any counter arguments? I'd love to hear your opinion, which is why I chose you to post to. :)
Another user has suggested I move the content of my page to the community portal, which I intend to do (when I figure out how to do so). If you would rather wait until then to leave comments that would be entirely fine, and if you don't want to respond at all then that would also be a-ok. :) In the meantime it will stay on my userspace because, as my userspace, I am able to place whatever I so desire there (unless it is overly offensive, in which case it would be removed). Thank you for your time, and I am sorry for any inconvenience and/or facepalm-age that has occurred. Frozenne 01:14, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
I would suggest putting it in your userspace. such as "User:Frozenne/Suggestions"
and my response to the arguments in order is: • giants are a prefix. they do not deserve separate pages. • Herobrine needs a page. • some games, but don't open the floodgates. • No. we are not dignifying that issue with a mention. at all. it was an offensive term trolls made up. Not to mention, during that time, they vandalized the wiki, and inserted false info.

Sorry for the late response. I've not been feeling too good lately due to family issues. the amount of mental stress I'm getting is just, huge right now. --Kizzycocoa 15:27, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

What would make transparency "worthy" of inclusion into the Environment template?

I see you reverted my addition of "Transparency" to the environment template. I was wondering why? Transparency controls a mind-bogglingly large number of things in the game, so I think it's an important enough concept to be included there. Of course, the article is a bit stubbish right now, so if that's why, then I understand. (Although it's already got more content than, say, the article on clouds.) D0sboots 13:16, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Actually, I see you tagged Transparency for deletion, so I suppose that answers my question. :) Care to say which rule you think that article is breaking? I hope it's not #3, because transparency is one of the most subtle and non-obvious concepts in Minecraft. D0sboots 13:21, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

it is #3. It was created in the past, but simply, transparancy isn't needed. it is like writing an article on what java is, or what houses are. there are some unique properties, but they should be noted wherever fast/fancy is noted. the mob notes can also be noted on the mob page.
this isn't a fixed thing. you can discuss it in their talk page, and the admins will see if they agree or not. but as we deleted it from last time, that's already a step in the wrong direction.--Kizzycocoa 13:29, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Merging of passive mobs pages?

The four land-based passive mobs (Sheep, Chickens, Pigs and Cows) all have very similar basic behaviour and share a lot of information across their four pages. I'd like to know what you think about combining the four mobs onto a single page, a draft version of which I have completed here: User:TerrorBite/Passive Mobs
Note that in the draft version I included Squid into the article too, as they are also a passive mob. However I've had second thoughts about this now and think it would be better for Squid to maintain their own page, as they are significantly different from the four land-based mobs and their page also includes a lot more information and images.
Now I understand that mobs used to all share the same page, and I gather that this was a Bad Thing; however having each of these specific four on a separate page seems counter-intuitive when each page is basically a stub and shares most of its info with the other three. I'm not asking for every mob to share a page, just these four. It would make sense and would make it easy for people to look at comparisons between them.
At the very least, maybe we could make a land-based passive mob template that could be included into each of the four pages, so that shared data would only need to be edited once?

Just thought I'd reply since I saw this. It is a bad idea because (1) Your combined page is very long and tedious to read, as most people only want the information which they seek, and no more. (2) Minecraft will always update to add more mobs and this page might have too keep expanding to the point where you can't take it any more. Think for the future.
I see no point merging them together. Instead of doing so, these shared information should be put into the general mob section. If these information get too long, maybe a subpage like mob/passive mobs might be made. --Scykei 09:26, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

on a side note to that, Miney seems to also be acting odly. he gives revisions that look like someone's erased one page, and moved the entire contents of another page into that page. newer/older edits also link to different pages entirely.

Deletion of Stars

You deleted the Stars page claiming "[The] page was made to list constellations. this is bad practice for a wiki. it was also terribly inaccurate" You are wrong. If you've had red the article I addressed the subject saying constellations ARE fan fiction, then how could they had been the reason for me to make the page? The page was made so that the Environment template "Sky" section will include all of the skies properties, for now I made a new page and waited until my new environment template suggestion will be implemented(and will include a link to this page) too see if it will gain enough notability to deserve it's own page or being merged with another. I will kindly ask you for allowing me to bring the page back.--Yurisho 18:31, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

the stars article states stars are randomly generated. it had missing simple information, impossible information needed and would be small. the constellation information had no right to be there, and all trivia was false. you have a large sentence. remove the redundant statement of when, and the impossible directional request, you get:
Stars are in the sky, they look like little white, glowing squares.
The stars appear at the night, and rotate around the player.
this is a horrific page, and does not deserve to have it's own page.
also, you're looking at it wrong. they rotate around the player, not the game world. the game world is not all physical. the stars are simply overlays for any void. there is also a star texture in the jar. and they also only appear at night. period. --Kizzycocoa 19:09, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

If you mean that the individual star has a texture - that is a different thing which I confess I didn't knew of.
The page was literary edited by me only, and wasn't connected to any other page so people could go there and edit it, so how will it have simple info?
I was planning on working on it and connecting it all after I finish my template suggestion, but you couldn't wait? If you saw it didn't had info then why not edit in this info? why deleting?
If you think constellations don't deserve to be there then delete THAT PARAGRAPH not the whole page.
the you make the same claim twice, saying stars are not random AND all the trivia was false when all the trivia was that stars are randomly generated...what a cheap trick.
It was small because I just started working on it, but again, why deleting and not asking me if I'd like to move the info to another page if you think it really couldn't grow?
if they rotate around the player and not around the world:why not editing it in instead of deleting?--Yurisho 19:33, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
I have not been "powned". the stars were a file. at some point, this must have changed. I know that there were stars in there at some point, as I did copy that file over for a custom texture pack that I never finished. I do not have the file for that, as I deleted it multiple times due to their updates, and me not updating enough to signify it staying.
that paragraph alone is half of the page already.
what? trick? they were at some point an image. hardly a trick.
it can't grow. saying what stars are is like saying what a house is. it's not worth even listing. we're a wiki for minecraft, not a wiki for common information.
because that also cut out a huge amount of text. still making the page nothing but a stub. a stub that will never, ever grow. ever.--Kizzycocoa 19:47, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

I do believe, as they were shown in a coding window, they are solidly going in-game. remember, on mere mention of lanterns, we made that page. and it still exists. plus, Notch said the secret was found, which vaguely points to one of two of these pages. we cannot discredit one, as it may be the right one. as for theory, that needs deleting.

Even if they're class files in the coding window, it doesn't confirm them. For all we know, ExperienceOrb could've been the background code to the scoring system and HugeMushroom could be something to do with the mushroom code itself. Are these deviations from two pixel lines even solid evidence? As for lanterns, I think now that should be deleted too or at least relegated to the Upcoming features page, because at the time it had been confirmed by notch as a possibility (which is still a rocky reason to have it on the wiki at best).
It's not good enough to have Notch simply acknowledge that the secret was found. I think the best thing to do would be to move these to Upcoming features, or maybe create a Speculation page for these things. My intended username is "Mr.X" but he mistakenly inputted "Mr.x". I want to register another user but MediaWiki just told me the name is too similar thus cannot create. So can you help me with this? To prove that this account is mine, the IP used when registering is 211.101.55.x, and creation time is just now(see the sig). Mr.x 13:12, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

Sprint feature

Sprint was confirmed for 1.8 by Notch (ask him on IRC), but I'm still looking for the reference. Therefore, like experience orb which has a page, and has never been confirmed, I suggest keeping the sprint page.--FWD Talk 09:22, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

I don't think you get what you did.
you made a page with the express knowledge you were breaking a rule, and asked others to merge it.
so far, NO-ONE in the whole history of wikis has done this.
ever. --Kizzycocoa 09:40, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

You sir is a bit annoying today, you don't kow who I am, I don't know who you are, maybe an admin or something because you can delete things, but I dont know in which language I could explain this : I messed around with the headers, putting the wrong merge header. Now I recreated the page with the stub and the future header. So if you sir wants to call others who want to share, contribute, make Minecraft better for newbies, you want to call them idotics, or even douchefags, I don't know, then fine. But do not interfere the work of these people. Now let me recreate the sprint page, and do not delete it please, like you didn't delete the huge shrooms, the Ex Orb, or whatever marvelous things we are offered.--FWD Talk 09:47, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

I am an admin, and truth be told, that was a pretty massive slip up that happened. NO-ONE has created a page for the sole purpose of having the page be removed later. and the language in the header is undeniably saying the content is against the rules and needs merging.
I have hardly ever gone off at anyone for editing, but such a slip up really does deserve pointing out. I have never, and will never call users idiots or fags.
I will however comment on their actions, should I see a need to. and I saw a need to, if only to show you how that was the silliest thing ever to do, and basically, never do it again.
I will keep deleting the page, as it is an upcoming feature, and agree with the tag you added first-time. it needs merging. all it has is written instruction and the fact he was toying with it. the other two have images and coding to back them up. this does not.
also, I will delete what needs to be deleted. this is a wiki, not some mojang fan club. we have to keep everything factual and keep speculation out of the way. --Kizzycocoa 09:53, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Well now, I feel that I can point out how your actions are sillier than my errors, in a legit way (you expressed yourself on that). This sprint was confirmed, and tomorrow or next week, it'll be added. Experience Orb has NEVER been confirmed at all. So keep your emotions for you, you're not the first admin that do not take others seriously, because I am one of these.--FWD Talk 09:58, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
The experience orb was pictured as well as coded, as per the coding window on the censored 1.8 update list. This is the same as the mushrooms.
They have said it will take a lot longer than just a week, so that's completely false.
also, I do not feel partially emotional at this at all. it is a daily side-thing I do to help the community see what they want. please, look at the veeeeeeeery top of this page to see just how dedicated I am to you lot, then think again about me not taking you all seriously.--Kizzycocoa 10:06, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

well, they were. you made a page with the seemly impression that you knew it was against the rules, and that you wanted it merged.
also, I'm not going to say that. no-one here wins or loses. it's just what the community or wiki needs. it isn't a competition. --Kizzycocoa 10:15, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Sorry to answer so late, but I think you're too young to know the sense of the word ERROR. I made one, so it's sure silly. No matter your impressions, I explained myself on that. I wanted to end this softly and gently, but you sir don't want to as I see.--FWD Talk 10:36, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
no apologies, and you're wrong. I do know you made an error, and it was silly. however, I was explaining, from a user viewpoint, you made an edit that was pretty redundant. note from a user viewpoint, not in reality.
quite honestly, I thought it did end softly and gently, with a mutual understanding. however, it seems more evident you are very prone to misunderstanding myself and the situation.--Kizzycocoa 10:40, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

uh, yeah. it is. and yes, I did. but that was due to a silly error on your behalf, and is completely different to the current situation.
also, here's a tip:sometimes, the person who's user talk page it is leaves comments last, to wrap up things. again, this is not a competition to see who gets the final say. --Kizzycocoa 10:55, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

If there is a source, then he should not have been banned. unfortunately, I had not heard of melons, and as it is a remote quote on an interview, it took time until I found it. This is why we used to force users to preview their edits. please try to read through edits in future, or else it just makes the history confusing as hell, and leads to innocent users being banned for an hour until the issue has been sorted out fully. --Kizzycocoa 17:53, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

What's your Problem?

Dude, I am Creating Perfectly useful Pages. All of my friends are telling me to do this. I just want a page for everything.Did you notice that I was merging them?Ajc 1254 21:09, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

If your friends asked you to jump into a raging forest fire covered in oil, would you do it?
also, these pages merely fragment information over a variety of pointless, useless pages, all meaning "this is a thing that looks like this and is meant to be this". there is NOTHING that we know of these blocks.
Until further information pertaining to, and ONLY to, those specific blocks is released, the pages will remain protected. use the Huge Mushroom page. --Kizzycocoa 21:12, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

I'm wondering if we should have a wiki rule about new pages for "upcoming" things. Stuff like this has been happening a lot lately as people get excited about some new feature mentioned offhand on twitter or dug up from a new screenshot (see the "Dry Sugar Cane" debacle). It might help to have a rule/guideline in place to specify when a new page is approriate for upcoming items/features. Personally I think at the very least these pages should have at least something "of substance" - not necessarily a lot of text, but not "X is a block in version 1.#. We don't know anything about it." --Warlock 21:21, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

No problem. but be careful in future. that mixup doesn't happen often, but when that happens, I assume it's vandalism. especially with uncommon users. like, the ones that don't edit often, or are new.
I monitor the recent changes, so I see new names a lot, and am sure to check their edits. for all I know, it's a second account run by the person, or a friend. so to see it undone twice seemed odd. ^^; --Kizzycocoa 14:15, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

'Seecret Friday'

Hi Kizzycocoa, on the lava page you said you're sick of correcting the spelling of Seecret Friday. Why don't you put some wiki comments next to that paragraph, explaining it's the correct spelling to people who go to edit the page? Barefootguru 21:23, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Block Update detector

Could you please provide a reason why you deleted the page describing the block update detector? It does not belong in the mods section, as it uses only vanilla behavior. Is it because it's incomplete, because you think this contraption does not deserve a separate page, or is there some other reason? Kochu 23:08, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

I moved the page to the mod section, and deleted a copy that someone seemed to want to recreate.
As far as I can tell, this is a server mod that can see changes to other blocks. what more, it does not seem this can be made in a 100% fresh Minecraft installation.
Due to these two facts, I moved the page to the mod section, deleted a redirect, and deleted a copied page put in mainspace. --Kizzycocoa 23:11, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

Seecret

I don't really agree with putting a comment on every instance of the word "seecret" on the wiki. I haven't really seen it changed that often, and when it is, that's what the undo/block button is for. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 13:15, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

the thing is, changing seecret is a silent killer. the summary could simply be -1, with no other summary. or "grammar fix". or w/e.
that's why I went through them all. there was no other option. unless Wyn comes up with something blocking seecret-secret, then it has to be this way.
and yes, it gets changed infrequently. but that's all it takes to slowly slip up. it has to be affirmed seecret is a word now, before it gets lost in translation with the new users. --Kizzycocoa 13:22, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
Is it really that important though? As long as it links to the right page, it's not really a problem if it doesn't use Notch's spelling. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 15:47, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
We are a wiki. we should care about preserving these past references. seecret was, for a time, arguably one of the best parts of Minecraft's update cycle. causing a fair amount of hype and anticipation. It deserve a small amount of preservation, even if it was just for that. but more importantly, for the history. --Kizzycocoa 15:54, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
Someone should create a page describing the "Seecret Updates" and link the word to that. Would be a good indicator to new people that it's spelled correctly (as there's an article) and explain what it is. --Warlock 17:53, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
Indeed. Using Notch's spelling on lots of pages isn't really preserving it's history, is it? That's why people change it, because just the word contains no value without an actual reference. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 05:53, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Incorrectly Autobanned

Hello, my user name is Apollyna and I was blocked and IP banned for trying to create my own user page. The wiki fed me a message about "creating large spam pages". Creating my user page, which was not spammy in the least, was my second edit ever. The first was a spellcheck on an unrelated page.

I've checked ALL IRC channels for two days and no one can help me, if anyone is even on IRC. I aso see absolutely not staff emails or "email this user"s around anywhere. I think this should be remedied somehow in the future... even if you set up a support@minecraftwiki.com or something. Anything.

Please help me. All I want to do is help out. - Apollyna, 5:44PM (EST) September 30th, 2011

once we've determined the reason of banning, we'll unblock, and explain why the block was made ^^ --Kizzycocoa 22:05, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
We have determined the reason for banning. There were two.
Firstly, the page was new and 3261 letters long. this triggered the autoban. however, it was also new and had links, triggering the autoban again. Users who are new need to have 5 edits before they can create pages of this size, along with links. --Kizzycocoa 22:21, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
As for your email problem, to be able to send emails to other editors, you must first associate your email address with your wiki account and confirm it, and I believe your account must also be autoconfirmed (unless this wiki's settings are different, accounts become autoconfirmed after they are four days old and have made at least ten edits). In addition, to email any specific editor, they must have an email address associated with their account and allow other editors to send them email. A general, public email that any editor could send messages to e.g. if they're autobanned would be a good thing to have, though; Curse staff would have to set it up for it to have "@minecraftwiki.net" (you can talk to Wynthyst about it). 「ディノ千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 01:44, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

You locked the Stars page, so I though I'd just suggest changing it to be a redirect to Moon#Stars. C:\Users\kizzycocoa\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar\mobs\enderman_eyes.png

Nuff said.

The texture pack I used to find an enderman was of an old version. it did not occur that the eyes were of an old version.
I used an X-ray texture pack to find endermen underground on a new creative world, so to skip the issue of waiting until night.
It is not my fault this texture pack is out of date, and Mojang were trolly enough to alternate the eyes every bloody update.
and I do not care what the hell anyone says, those eyes were white last time I saw, indicating colour swatching, allowing for multiple eye colours. --Kizzycocoa 11:51, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
They were NEVER white. I've checked both 1.8pre and 1.8pre2 and they're green. Kizzy, please just accept the fact you were wrong rather than using excuses. It just makes you look immature. Mojang weren't "Trolly". It's simply called changing the eye colour from green to purple. (btw, you posted a link to a place on your HDD. It's not like we can see it if you don't upload it.) Elite6809 (talk) (forum) 17:33, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
I am not making up excuses. I saw them with my own eyes. they were white. 100%. I even had to go into Paint.NET to see them, as the preview image couldn't show me. I remember that, clear as day. also, the as of late snowmen/snow golems was a blatant troll move. BLATANT. --Kizzycocoa 17:44, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
I give up. Really, this is like talking to a brick wall of pure denial. Besides, even if you saw them with green eyes, how about everyone else who only saw purple? Isn't it against all rules of a Wiki to change things based on only one source? Why couldn't you do a split image, with one green and one purple eye, like with the spider jockey? Were you too convinced you were right? Elite6809 (talk) (forum) 17:57, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
like I said, I saw WHITE eyes. indicating MULTI COLOURED possibilities. as an admin and user, I would never pursue something if I weren't sure. and I am 1000% sure I saw white eyes, that could be used the same way as grass and leaves. --Kizzycocoa 18:17, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Okay, let's forget you saw white eyes now because I'm getting nowhere with that one. Why did you change it to green only? Why not a purple/green split? surely it would make more sense that way? Elite6809 (talk) (forum) 18:19, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
green was what was being changed. so I tried to stick to the original. would I have had time, I'm sure that a green/purple eye combination would have been made eventually. but I had to have order on the page first and foremost. and I was certain I was right. I did not think for a second mojang had sneakily gone and changed it since I had last checked. with no notice, just to top it all off into a massive wiki drama. --Kizzycocoa 18:28, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Feedback

Hello! I want to thank you for everything you have done for the Minecraft Wiki. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Tesla, a wiki manager for Curse. The reason I am posting on your talk page is for some feedback. I was hoping you could tell me if there was something you would like to see on the wiki or if you think there is something we could do to help improve the quality of our service to the community. If you have any ideas at all, please feel free to stop by on my talk page and leave me your thoughts. I understand that, I am not suggesting to force everyone who ever made an account to contribute, I am suggesting one should not be allowed to host a forum for a private server in their name space without contributing something. There's already a rule about not hosting images, this case it similar, and in my opinion should be handled in the same way as a violation to Rule 17. --Saphireking65 15:40, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

As of right now, the admins are discussing formally publishing a rule in regard to userspaces.
As I have created the draft, I shall share the proposed rule(s) here:
21. Anything (within reason) is allowed in your userspace, as long as it abides by rules 1, 2 and 5.
A. This rule does not apply to userspace talk pages. Talk pages are to be as talk pages, and nothing else.
Like I said, ongoing discussions are in progress, so this rule is subject to change. But this is what we plan to implement to clear this mess up. Because the discussion is right. unspoken rules are silly. so it's time we clarify it. --Kizzycocoa 16:04, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Yeah it would be intentional. It does looks strange though.

Re the GUI thing, back in 1.8 the blocks were changed to that very light shading, it's the hotbar that has been reverted to the old pre-1.8 lighting (which looked a lot better). –ultradude25 (T|C) at 22:58, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Yeah it looks a lot better, that how it actually looks in the game. The lighter shading is so light, it's almost fullbright (which is horrible). –ultradude25 (T|C) at 23:20, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
well, I personally think the sides, especially the right, need major toning down with darkness. the right side is WAY too dark. --Kizzycocoa 23:21, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Mob Videos

Hi Kizzycocoa, Why were all my videos removed? The didn't break any rules of the video policy like you said. They had no narration, ads or copyright music etc. Mojang has even claimed the copyright ownership on them. They were illustrating something that definitely could not be shown with pictures, and without an animation a viewer would get a much more vague idea of the behaviour of mobs. All the videos were labelled in the exact same neat format, and embedded using the recommended settings in the video policy. Why are the emmbeded vidoes in The Void article allowed? It was just a hole, it could of easily been illustrated with a picture, far more easily than the complex movement and A.I programming of mobs in minecraft. Also the void video was 33 seconds long, only 9 seconds of which actually showed the void, it had over 10% dislikes and they looked messy and out of place at the bottom of the wiki. The minecraft sound had been removed and replaced with music not related to minecraft and the video had annoying, irrelevant captions. My videos broke no rules of the video policy, unless you think my videos are genuinely not beneficial to the wiki then delete them (in the 24hrs they were allowed on the wiki they gained over 10, 000 total views, and all had 100% likes, I checked the youtube Analytics and over 90% of the views are from the wiki. This means that people on the wiki obviously want to see them (they wouldn't click on the video if they didn't want to see a video.)) I know you were just trying to make the wiki a better place and you donate a huge amount of time to it (Thank you!) but so was I, and the videos took days to make and upload just for the wiki. Thanks a lot for reading this and I hope you will rethink your decision, or at least tell me what I should do. Remember people liked those videos being on the wiki so unless they are in breach of copyright (they are not) then I really can't think of any other reason they should be removed? Thanks Da da do do da 00:13, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

Embedded videos are only allowed in the tutorial section freely. videos are only allowed in the mainspace when no other medium can convey a particular subject, such as the effects of getting closer to The Void. --Kizzycocoa 00:09, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
I have to agree with Da da do do da, What about the movement and A.I behavoiur of minecraft mobs? Thats a lot more difficult to convey with words and still images than the "effects" of getting closer to the void BenRU
Yes, exactly BenRU that is my point, I'm not arguing with the video policy (although I can't really understand the reasoning for a lot of it) I'm saying that the movement and A.I behaviour of the mobs can not be displayed with just pictures and text. Also what do you mean "effects of getting closer to The Void?" I'm just having difficulty seeing why the void can only be expressed with a video but minecraft mobs can be expressed with pictures and text. Da da do do da 00:56, 1 December 2011 (UTC) Thanks
Minecraft mobs behaviour is easily explained. when hit, they run around randomly. they always migrate to water and down hills, and that's it. some have special things, such as wolves hunting sheep, but that's it. there is no point to any of the videos explaining such simple-minded behaviour. --Kizzycocoa 08:40, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

New adventuring structures

Okay, so I get that the airships were because of a mod... But that still doesn't explain the new generated structures, such as the glowstone-lit rivers, awesome caverns and ruins, etc. Unless you can point me to a mod that adds those to the game, in which case I'd be really happy. But really, you expect me to believe Syndicate faked all those too? The ships were one thing, but...

the code does not say anything, and that clueless LPer has REALLY got this wiki riled up. the other structures are mods, or created by the community. they are also not in the code or patch notes. end of discussion right there. --Kizzycocoa 20:06, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

we do not allow fanmade shows or the like to have a page, unless it is Mojang-related. the ONLY exception to this rule so far due to overwhelming support is Herobrine. --Kizzycocoa 19:57, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
