Sandbox discussion[]

It looks like you're wanting to make a rewrite like one ongoing with unimplemented features. Is it? --Naista2002Talk

"Please don't edit this page."[]

Editing other user's sandbox might be allowed, but only in some cases, such as if it is used for a collaborative page design/rewrite. Also, the unimplemented/upcoming features rewrite is done. --Naista2002Talk

Okay, I removed the "Please don't edit this page" notice and console edition upcoming features. -JEC6789 (T | C | Boo!) 14:11, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
You can add something like this:
This is JEC6789's sandbox for designing and rewriting pages.
You can edit this page, but nonconstructive edits will be undone.

Okay, I added a msgbox saying anyone can edit the page. -JEC6789 (T | C | Boo!) 14:46, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
I added that page to watchlist so I can keep track of edits, and revert disruptive ones. --Naista2002Talk

Tutorials/Traps[]

Don't start the Tutorials/Traps rewrite without first acting in the discussion! There was no message to start it. Until you reply there, don't edit the sandbox.

Also, it is better to make multiple sandboxes for designing and rewriting. What if you might be rewriting several large pages at once. This saves time.

I removed you from friends. Sorry.

Sorry, I didn't know I should discuss it there first. -JEC6789 (T | C | Boo!) 13:39, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
For what there are watchlists. Add the admin noticeboard, community portal, that page, style guide discussion to your watchlist and we'll have less incidents like this. --Naista2002Talk

Discussion is not required before rewriting a page in a personal sandbox, as you can do almost anything with your user space. Although it does help to discuss the rewrite in related conversations as to make sure your rewrite and the conversation about such rewrite agree, plus it may give ideas as to what needs rewriting specifically. Announcing you are starting rewriting is mainly so someone else does not start, and in case you want others to help with the rewrite; otherwise, you really don't need to discuss the rewrite until you are awaiting approval for implementing the rewrite.
