Beta splash[edit]

I misread what you had written there, my apologies; it looks like you're right. – Sealbudsman talk | contribs 19:50, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

Turtle VS Sea Turtle[edit]

Just to be clear, I wasn't referring to the ID, yes the ID is also turtle, but the entity's display name is Turtle in bedrock.

Go and actually try it:

  • Spawn a turtle.
  • use /say @e.
  • See it say "Turtle", not "Sea Turtle".

Potion of decay on legacy console?[edit]

I've heard that the potion of decay (previously Bedrock-exclusive) was added to the legacy console editions in the latest update. Can you confirm that?--Capopanzone (talk) 11:48, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

Yes, it was actually added. --Giorgosarv18 (talk/contribs) 11:59, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

Monster Spawner[edit]

What's so difficult to understand? Yes java edition is only 1 version, but EVERY SINGLE OTHER page uses the java namings throughout the articles for everything. You're explicitly making this one page inconsistent with every single other one... FVbico (talk) 12:01, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

Lowercase usernames[edit]

Not sure if Twitch accounts can have lowercase names (I think they can), but MediaWiki usernames are necessarily capitalized, the same thing is done for all page titles during title normalization. More accurately, for some namespaces, title capitalization can be disabled by server administrators, but the User: namespace, along with some others, won't be affected by any such setting. --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 16:00, 21 September 2018 (UTC)

Edit to Main page/editcopy[edit]

In this edit, I think you may have misunderstood how it works. The #ifeq in the preceding line generates the wikicode that follows it (including the text you deleted, the Main category, and the set of interwiki links for main pages) only on the Main Page. In other words, the link-to-self and that other stuff won't ever appear on the editcopy page. After the first interwiki links, there's a | with an HTML comment, followed by the editcopies category and interwiki links for the editcopy pages; this is the "else" part of the #ifeq, so everything from there to the end is generated if it's not on the Main Page. The #ifeq allows the Main Page and editcopy to have the slight differences they need, but because the wikicode is the same on both, the admins don't have to think about it when they sync. – Auldrick (talk · contribs) 02:15, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Spawn Illager Beast/Pillager redirects[edit]

These are not items in any version of the game; only java edition has them, so only "Illager Beast/Pillager Spawn Egg"s are a thing. FVbico (talk) 18:47, 10 November 2018 (UTC)

Regarding your retirement[edit]

Hey Giorgo! First of all, let me just say, I am very sad to hear about your retiring. You made very nice edits to the wiki and it was good to have you here; you only just joined in July, that's too soon to leave! I hope you reconsider.

Second of all, I wanted to tell you that CheckUser evidence, as well as behavioral evidence, has confirmed that you have made disruptive edits to the wiki while logged out. Please note that this is not acceptable no matter what, and if you do this again, I will have no choice but to block you. Doing such is harming the wiki and is avoiding scrutiny by using an alternate portrayal. Although I am not going to reveal the IP address for privacy reasons, I will note that it has now been blocked for a while.

Again, I hope you reconsider your retirement, but if you continue to disruptively edit from an IP address, I will have to block you. Thank you for understanding.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 00:44, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

Edit warring[edit]

Despite multiple warnings – both in edit summaries and on your user profile – you continue to edit-war on Spawn Egg, without making any attempt to discuss your changes before making them. This will be your last warning; any further edit warring will result in a temporary block. -- Orthotopetalk 18:05, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

Stop mass-moving all pages back to their pre-1.13 names. This goes against consensus and seems to be what you personally prefer, rather than what the rest of the community does. Stuff like this has been going on for months now and you've been told multiple times to stop, so doing any more of this will result in a block.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 18:12, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Block me then, I don't care. I have no interest in working here if you guys later destroy it because it's against "consensus". I moved these in order for them to match the names in BE, which is the most popular edition of Minecraft. But nobody understands. - Giorgosarv18 (talk) 19:38, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Nobody's trying to destroy your work. We all appreciate what you've been doing here. However, I'm sorry but you can't go against consensus just because you personally want to do something a certain way. You are most certainly more than welcome to start a new discussion if you would like to present new arguments.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 19:43, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
I've watched this a little from the sideline, and whilst I recognise that Mojang has moved the name of the java edition into "Minecraft: Java Edition", and given bedrock the place in the spotlight by using just "Minecraft", it's still not the time to change this wiki into mainly using the names from Bedrock. Until the community is ready for it, it's better to keep to the consensus. Holroy talkcontribs 22:56, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

For quite some time I've been looking at edits on Minecraft Wiki just to see what is happening over here, overall I'm merely an outsider from sister wiki. However what I did notice is that you have often reverted edits of other contributors. Which in itself, the act is of course normal and I do this daily, what makes it different in your case is that your undos are often... So to speak, worrying.
You, just like many other great people in here want to make the wiki a good place to find information about Minecraft. We all have different opinions on how the wiki should look and even when we disagree with each other our goal is to make the best decision possible for entire community. There may be discussions, where a compromise is difficult or impossible to achieve, which doesn't mean we shouldn't try to reach it.
I believe when such conflict of views comes up, it shouldn't be up to administrators to resolve with bans and page protections which is what eventually happens in continued edit warring. I think it's in everyone's best interest to try to come to conclusion that will satisfy everyone.
This is why I'm asking you to chill out with reverting edits of other good meaning editors just because you have a different opinion. Revert is a very easy action, that at the end will only achieve a temporary goal and will frustrate other people who just want to help. And you know what? I get it, discussions are boring, frustrating too, on the wiki they often don't get much attention, and it's easier to be bold etc etc etc. I know, it's sad they don't get much attention, but they are still better than having a full-blown conflict with other editors. It's still better than seeing other editors leave the wiki in frustration that there are people who do not respect their opinion and don't even try to find a common ground. It destroys the wiki even more than discussion that does not reach a consensus (also cmon, the page history looks like a mess after edit warring round).
My message is not here to demotivate you, you do what is best in your own opinion and that's great, it does matter. My message is to start a dialogue on what is the best way to express your opinion in wiki environment, which is a very diverse place. And my point is, that the edit summaries, may not be the best way to express discontent with how someone else thinks.
Thanks for understanding. Frisk (Talk page) 21:23, 4 December 2018 (UTC)

You now have an award![edit]

Nether Star JE3 BE2.png
You have been given an award! This is to show appreciation for your work here.

Thank you for your very useful contributions to the wiki. As I'm patrolling recent changes, so many edits there are yours and it occurred to me that you're one of the few editors here who is constantly updating, correcting, and adding information. I do agree with the above section that you should stop edit warring so much, but seriously, you've been doing some awesome work here.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 16:04, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
