Reverting / uploading images[edit]

Hi! Just in case you are running into issues where reverting images, or uploading images are seeming to fail, be aware that there is a cache sitting in front of the wiki, which often refuses to update the image you see for up to several hours. Be assured, your change does go through the first time, as long as you see the entry listed in the picture's file history, or in the Upload log ... the picture doesn't have to look correct right away. It's annoying, but that's that. Happy holidays! – Sealbudsman talk/contr 20:21, 23 December 2016 (UTC)

Oh, I was not really aware of this cache issue, and therefore I thank you for this message. Knowing this will save me from lots of annoyance. So like I said, thank you, and happy holidays to you too. LevitatingSheep (talk) 20:39, 23 December 2016 (UTC)

About File:Black Bed.png[edit]

Is File: Black Bed.png a mistake in size from the images of other beds?--User:Beans1512/Sign 09:54, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

Nope. It is identical to the other beds in shape and image size, you're likely having a cache glitch. :) LevitatingSheep (talk) 13:45, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
I healed this by purging. THX :)--User:Beans1512/Sign 13:57, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
You healed it by purging? Well, can you tell me how to do this "purging" thing? Because it hasn't updated for me yet, and I changed it yesterday. I tried clearing my cache several times but it didn't work. P.S I don't know what "purging" means, which is partially why i don't know what you're talking about. LevitatingSheep (talk) 14:04, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
Open the bed page on your desktop and press "More" at the top right. I was able to fix it by pressing "Purge" in the open.--User:Beans1512/Sign 14:14, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
Pressing Purge refreshes the cache that sits in front of the server, as opposed to your browser's cache. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 14:33, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
Thanks :) LevitatingSheep (talk) 20:00, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

Re:About File:Illusioner.png[edit]

As you can see i made few uploads in short time, for me the actual version of file is accurate with your last render/screenshoot, maybe try clear cashe,or something? Oakar567 (talk) 20:24, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

Oh nvm,i looked closely and there are some little differences, i will fix it right now :P Oakar567 (talk) 20:26, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
Done. Correct now i guess Oakar567 (talk) 20:40, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
It's correct now, thanks! - LevitatingSheep (talk) 22:56, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

Isometric Minecart Screenshots[edit]

Hello! I was wondering if you could make in-game isometric screenshots of the normal rideable minecart and the two minecart with command block variants, so as to make them consistent with the other minecart renders you recently uploaded. Could you please do so? VeenM64 (talk) 16:49, 12 June 2017 (UTC)

The command block minecart renders don't need to be animated, because the animations are already captured quite nicely by the following images of command blocks themselves:
Impulse Command Block.gifChain Command Block.gifRepeating Command Block.gif
With that said, could you please upload static .png renders of those minecarts? I would much appreciate it. VeenM64 (talk) 22:14, 27 June 2017 (UTC)
Y'know, spamming me with notifications of this message is just meaningless annoyance. I just hadn't seen the message, ok? But now that I have, then fine I guess, I will make the static renders, though not right now, I'll likely make 'em later today. But in the future please don't spam me with notifications again, okay? LevitatingSheep (talk) 13:15, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
I appear to be having some technical issues. I'll make the renders when these issues go away. -- LevitatingSheep (T | C) 13:17, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
Are you being truthful, or are you just coming up with excuses not to update them and make them consistent with all the rest? Even if animated renders are made, they will still be uploaded separately as GIF files. Also, I apologize for the spamming. VeenM64 (talk) 11:29, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I am being truthful. I make my renders using in-game isometric screenshots. The mod I use to take these screenshots hasn't been updated since 1.8.9, and my game has recently started crashing upon attempts at opening this version of minecraft. I think something must've broken in my forge installation. -- LevitatingSheep (T|C) 14:41, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
It seems my problems are fixed. I'll work on the renders tomorrow -- LevitatingSheep (T|C) 18:38, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
Do you use Mineshot? VeenM64 (talk) 00:57, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
Yes. -- LevitatingSheep (T|C) 11:10, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
Ok, so right now I'm in the game, ready to take the isometric screenshot except for one detail. Since I'm in 1.8 the command block appears different, so therefore I'm trying to use resource pack to fix that issue, but the game gives me no reaction. I'm not sure how to fix this, so I'll have to wait to make them until I'm actually able to. Why do I keep getting problems preventing from making these renders? ;-; xD -- LevitatingSheep (T|C) 10:15, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
For rendering blocks, have you looked at BlockRenderer? It's on every version from 1.7 onwards - it can't do entities, though. Otherwise, MineShot has a 1.9/1.10 version on GitHub (this is the official repo linked in the forum thread), and there are two pull requests for 1.11 and 1.12 versions - their author made some unofficial releases too. --Hubry (talk) 16:22, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
I haven't heard of any of these before now. Thanks, Hubry, maybe these will work!
VeenM64, I'm currently very busy at the moment, with my birthday right around the corner and also some school stuff, so most of my free time goes to just does to just doing whatever I feel like, which is at the moment mostly other video games than Minecraft, such as Yandere Simulator and Minecraft Story Mode. But I promise you that no matter what the next renders I make will be the minecart renders! They are on the top of my list of renders that I need to make! -- LevitatingSheep (T|C) 22:56, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
Just a reminder: the repeating (purple) command block minecarts only exist in Pocket Edition, but you can still simulate them extremely accurately in PC by using the following command, which will summon a normal minecart with a custom tile (block) in its interior:
/summon minecart ~ ~ ~ {CustomDisplayTile:1, DisplayTile:repeating_command_block, DisplayData:2, DisplayOffset:6} VeenM64 (talk) 05:52, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

Baby cats[edit]

It is said you want to provide images for baby cats. I have done that for you at File:Baby Cats.gif. Dentedharp90041tc 09:32, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Oh, ok then. -- LevitatingSheep (T|C) 09:44, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Can't log in[edit]

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm unable to log in to my account for some reason. Keeps saying my password or username is wrong. -- LevitatingSheep 147.75.65.8 21:43, 23 July 2017 (UTC)

Have you tried resetting your password? -- Orthotopetalk 22:58, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
Tried that. My account is linked to a twitch account and that's where the problem is. My Twitch account is for whatever reason telling me that my account doesn't have an email address attached to it, which doesn't make sense cause it does. Gamepedia isn't willing to help at all since my account is connected to that twitch account. So basically, I have no way of recovering my account at all. -- LevitatingSheep 5.186.202.13 12:53, 2 August 2017 (UTC)

I'm back![edit]

After losing access to my account back in July like how long ago even is that, I'm finally back! I made a new account and I've gotten the old account's(LevitatingSheep) contributions merged into my new account! ^-^ I've also merged the talk page myself, so yea. I'm back! Delete your old user talk page?[edit]

Hello. Your old user talk page is blank, please can I tag it for deletion? I only asking, I waiting for a reply before tagging it for deletion. --Philip57sundfors (talk) 11:22, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

No, you can not delete it. Thank you for asking, though! I'm gonna turn it into a redirect to my current user talk. ― CanOfHuskies 11:30, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
You probably should've moved your old talk page here instead of doing a copypaste move. Deleting the old talk page would be even worse, it definitely should be a redirect. (see Wikipedia's Help:Move and WP:CUTPASTE). Also, please change your profile choice in preferences to the standard wiki page because it looks like the talk page redirects to your profile and not talk. --Hubry (talk) 12:19, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
You are right that moving the page would be better. In fact, I tried to first. See, what you're forgetting is that you can't move a page to a destination that another page is already using, so I couldn't move it, and had no other choice than copy-paste. Also, thanks for letting me know that the redirect took them to my profile, I've fixed it now. ^-^ ― CanOfHuskies 13:38, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
