Dead Bush as fuel
Hi. You're certainly correct that the blog post says "Dead Bushes can not be used as Furnace fuel", but that's obviously just a typo. "X can now X" (or "X will now X") is a standard formula for making entries in the changelog, which was copied into the blog post. When they want to say that something doesn't happen any more, they use the formula "X can/will no longer X". What's in the post matches the formula "X can not X", but that's not one of the formulas they use.
Also, this line was listed under Community Suggestions. Dead bushes were never able to be used as fuel before, so it doesn't make sense that somebody would suggest something that was already in the game.
Finally, words like "now" and "no longer" point to a contrast between old and new, in other words a change. "Not" doesn't do that; it's just a timeless statement of fact. You wouldn't find a statement like that in a changelog unless it was a mistake. (Also, "can not" is considered substandard English. If that was what they intended, it would, or at least should, have been "cannot", although a subtle mistake like that could easily get overlooked in proofreading.)
I sent a message to Helen Angel, the Community Manager for Minecraft, to suggest they get it changed, both on the blog and in the official changelog. Hope this clears things up for you. – Auldrick (talk · contribs) 07:02, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
- Ok thank you!! Went back and it has been corrected!! Thank you so much!! (When I corrected it and looked at website, I was confused as to why the community would suggest something to NOT be able to be used as fuel...)–Preceding unsigned comment was added by Aawweessoommee7 (talk • contribs) at 0:28, 27 October 2018 (UTC).
