explain class[]

The Monobook skin in vanilla MediaWiki has an explain class styled as follows:

abbr, acronym, .explain {
  border-bottom: 1px dotted;
  cursor: help;
}

Since this class unfortunately doesn't work here, and because the abbr and acronym HTML elements have specific semantic meanings making it inappropriate to use them to achieve purely stylistic effects, I think this class should be added to MediaWiki:Common.css or MediaWiki:Hydra.css and this template changed to use it. Thoughts? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:18, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

 Wait a moment, I'll test it on my skin. --Naista2002 (t|c) 16:35, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
For me, it worked. --Naista2002 (t|c) 16:37, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
Oh, the class does exist here; it's just limited to cases where a title is defined. So no additional CSS is needed for this after all. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 20:04, 4 November 2014 (UTC)

Advise not using tooltip unless necessary[]

I think it's a bad idea to use tooltip. The tooltip text can't be searched for or copied. The tooltip mark is not obvious, and beginners may be confused when they see a tooltip such as these three values, if they don't know they should hover on the text. Also, if I view a page with a phone, the tooltip can't be displayed at all. Instead of tooltip, I think it may be better to list them all or collapse them (like scoreboard#criteria) if necessary. --SolidBlock (not good at English!) 11:32, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
