I think it would be better if Mojang staff were identified by their complete name. -- Wynthyst User Wynthyst sig icon.png talk 01:00, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Template locked?[edit]

May I know why this template is locked? I find no need for it to be. Anyways I will just leave may edit here and some admin will integrate it - make a child group for "Mojang stuff" and call it "Former", then move Dock (Hayden Scott-Baron) to that new child group and delete the "(ret.)".--Yurisho 14:38, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

Quatroking protected it in December as a "high traffic page". As for your suggestion, I've considered doing that in the past, but don't think one person is enough to justify another group (or a subgroup). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:53, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
I believe it does because A. It's a type of group common in other templates in this wiki(it's basically the removed group in content templates), and B. because in the future it may contain more then just one entry.--Yurisho 17:56, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

Is there a need to lock the page? This page hasn't received enough vandalism to justify locking it. I was just going to do a minor edit on the links, but since Quatroking locked it, I'll have to put it here instead: Fix the links to Evilseph and MinecraftChick. It should be EvilSeph and Lydia Winters (using the pipe) if you want. What a hassle. - Asterick6 19:25, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

I don't really get how quatro thinks this is a high traffic page, it's only included on less than 100 pages. So I unprotected it. –ultradude25 (T|C) at 20:28, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

Move proposal to Template:Official resources[edit]

As a response to the move proposal, I agree with it, as the template name should represent the navbox title, and the title of Mojang no longer describes the content (hence the change of the navbox title). KnightMiner t/c 16:47, 19 September 2015 (UTC)

 Agree The BlobsPaper JE2 BE2.png 17:11, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
Agree No longer contains just information about Mojang, but is about official resources and that is also the navbox title. Wolffillms (talk) 18:26, 19 September 2015 (UTC)
Strong oppose on grounds that most of the box contains "information from Mojang", the other companies listed (excluding Curse) are under contract with Mojang, and for the fact that approximately 89% of the websites / articles are directly from or related to Mojang. -BDJP (t|c) 00:47, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
Yes, most links are Mojang-related, but not all, hence “Official resources” is a more neutral and wider name for it. — Agent NickTheRed37 (talk) 15:09, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

 Agreed. Apparently I don’t remember seeing this proposal. — Agent NickTheRed37 (talk) 15:09, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

I think we have enough agreement. Can an admin move the template? The BlobsPaper JE2 BE2.png 22:15, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
 Done. MajrTalk

Split template[edit]

There are now so many Mojang staff, I think it would be better to split the template into two - one with just the Mojang staff, perhaps Template:Employees, and the rest we could leave on the Official resources template. What does everyone else think? GoandgooTalk

 Support I have made a template in my sandbox: User:Nixinova/Sandbox/EmployeesNixinovaGrid Book and Quill.png Grid Diamond Pickaxe.png Grid Map.png • 07:51, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
Any other thoughts on this? Once the template is created we can get a bot to replace the Official resources template on pages in Category:Mojang AB] with the Employees template, then just change back the 3 or so non-employee pages in that category. GoandgooTalk
