Do zombie pigmen drop leather? They dropped leather in my game, but it's not in the main page... 05:12, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

They don't in the vanilla PC version. And if it's not already on here it seems doubtful for Console or Pocket editions either. Anomie x (talk) 10:37, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

Do this mob differ the Pig?-- 21:02, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Spawning- Portal Block[edit]

I think Zombie Pigmen have the potential to spawn on top of portal blocks in the Nether as well. Working on a hub in the ceiling, so the pair in the pic clearly didn't drop in. 17:43, 16 September 2017 (UTC) 17:47, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

That's obsidian, not portal blocks. Portal blocks are the purple ones inside the portal. Pigmen can spawn everywhere in the Nether, and obsidian is a solid block that mobs can spawn on - you should've slabbed the top of the portal if you want no spawns there. --Hubry (talk) 17:59, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

Wasn't the hostility behaviour seriously nerfed recently? They no longer infinitely anger each other. The other zombie pigmen just seem to ignore the angry ones nowadays. -Nyerguds (talk) 19:44, 28 September 2017 (UTC)

See this person's research. They observed the anger tag duration at 20-40 seconds, not 20 minutes as is stated here. I tested this (v1.14.4) by walking toward the hostile area until the pigmen were visible, but not into the 35-block alarm radius. After less than 10 minutes of hiding in this zone the group let me pass, somewhat confirming this theory that a full 20-minute wait in that range is not necessary. - (depw9992) 18:18, 9 October 2019 (UTC)

Sometimes the player has to wait even 26 minutes, see Andreymal31 (talk) 03:38, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

Spawning-Possible Bug[edit]

I've been building Illmango's Pigman xp farm in 1.12.2. Like in the above post, I had pigmen spawning on the obsidian blocks of the portal, so I put upside down half slabs on top of it. More pigmen spawned on it. So I removed the half slabs and put 2 high glass blocks on every top block. Now I've got pigmen spawning IN the glass... Anyone else seen this?

I am using the Mo'creatures mod, so it could be a issue with how that mod handles mob spawning 17:07, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

History cleanup[edit]

The history section has been tagged for cleanup. Anyone know why? Bg samm (talk) 00:59, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

Removed for now. Anyone feel free to revert if I'm missing something.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 02:04, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

New pics[edit]

Can you try to get a pic of the zombified piglin Hazbo111 (talk) 18:28, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

It was already created, will be updated after they're changed in a snapshot -Hanzepic (talk) 18:36, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

Keep or redirct due to 20w09a rename[edit]

Should we keep this page or redirect it to zombie piglin? I'm for redirecting it as they got renamed in the 20w09a update --Morpheus836 (talk) 18:40, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Probably wait for 1.16 Nether Update to be officially released before renaming article Just like Wall article was originally "Cobblestone Wall" before 1.14 Village and Pillage is officially released but it got renamed after 1.14 is released Ellaflowercutie (talk) 19:15, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Move back to Zombie Pigman[edit]

The full Nether update is not out yet, it's just a snapshot for the Java Edition. Both in Bedrock and in the latest stable Java version, this mob is still known as "Zombie Pigman". This page shouldn't have been moved yet, especially with absolutely NO discussion and agreement beforehand.--Capopanzone (talk | contribs) 21:14, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

I moved the page back as is the standard. I guess it's appropriate of me to ask other users not to move the page to the new name until the general release of 1.16. --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 21:42, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

Given range for aggression too high?[edit]

The article says 67×67×21 to 111×111×21. I had zombie pigmen in that range who didn't care about me after killing their friends with more than one hit. --Mfb0 (talk) 09:20, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
