Improving the article[edit]

Some key points for improving this page:

1. Are Woodland Mansions randomly generated on the inside? (Meaning does the interior of each one look different?

2. Do they have a coordinate requirement? The only Woodland Mansions I've seen are +10,000 blocks from the world origin...

3. I found a chest at the top of a mansion with the following loot:

  • Rotten Flesh
  • Bones
  • Iron Ingots
  • Redstone
  • Bread
  • Music Disc (13)
  • A single lead

There is already a page on woodland mansions www.minecraft.gamepedia.com/Woodland_Mansions Gameplayer434 (talk) 22:38, 28 September 2016 (UTC)
Seed 6880644119985394318 in 1.11 has a mansion (and a village!) at 1681, 4206. I don't think 10,000 is a requirement. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.68.55.94 (talk) at 2:10, 23 November 2016 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Room names[edit]

Are we getting the room names from somewhere? Or are we free to make them up? -PancakeMan77 (talk) 01:37, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Are the room name's for the Stronghold and Mineshaft (and Nether Fortress?) made up, or do they have some kind of official source? I'd base it off that. -172.68.58.123 20:31, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
Do we even need to name the rooms now that we have the structures? There's no need to have a room description twice. We could also just add an "Unofficial Room Name" column to the table. -PancakeMan77 (talk) 22:26, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

I think the carpets in the Map Room look like a parrot head, but I guess a map is more likely. 98.5.116.241 14:29, 30 June 2017 (UTC)

Considering woodland mansions were added before parrots, I think a map is pretty likely! Superspace (talk) 20:25, 30 June 2017 (UTC)

Unofficial Names are just that, unofficial[edit]

Feel free to change them if you feel there is a better name. Also, please name unnamed rooms. If there are official room names, please let us know. -PancakeMan77 (talk) 04:31, 1 October 2016 (UTC)

About the gallery[edit]

We could just add a picture column in the table, or organize the gallery by room type. Either way would make it less cluttered. What should we do? -PancakeMan77 (talk) 18:41, 2 October 2016 (UTC)

I'm in favor of adding an Image column to the table (similar to the Biomes page), and just merging the gallery captions with the Description column. I don't see how we could organize the gallery by room type, considering there are such a huge variety of different rooms - it would only barely fix the clutter. Wrong Room Name[edit]

The Lava room name is 2x2_s1 instead of mansion/2x2_c1! I Found it with WinRAR!JustBence6 (talk) 21:40, 28 October 2016 (UTC) –Preceding unsigned comment was added by JustBence6 (talkcontribs) at 10:34, October 28, 2016 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

So it is! Thanks! – Sealbudsman talk/contr 14:53, 28 October 2016 (UTC)

Found a room that's not on the main page.[edit]

I'm quite new to this whole gamepedia thing, seeing as I just created an account to submit this... um, so please bear with me if I make a mistake lol. I seem to have found a room within a woodland mansion that isn't listed on the table. It has what appears to be a combat ring, with an upper ring around the ceiling which contains a single chest. I have a screenshot, but I can't seem to figure out how to embed the image, and the gamepedia site won't let me link an Imgur url because I'm a new account.

As such, I'll try to describe the room in a bit more detail. The 'ground' of the room contains two large windows and a 7x7 double stone slab platform, which has a 'ring' made of dark oak fence around the edges. right next to the entrance to this room, there is a ladder that leads to an upper ledge. This ledge is made out of oak planks, and is three blocks wide. On the outside plank, there is a ring around the ledge made of oak fence. There is also a small chest containing loot, on this ledge.

On another note, if someone could possibly explain how to upload an image or something, that would be nice lol. It showed a strange error entitled "Something went wrong" when I attempted to do so. The error in full, is as follows:

That sounds like the Arena Room? Keep in mind the windows and doors can vary.
To upload new image, you'd visit an image page with the name you want, like File:Name of the image.png, and it should become an Upload File page with all kinds of instructions.
As for your error message, I'll link this discussion on the MCW:Admin noticeboard page; that looks like something the Gamepedia team would know how to deal with. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 13:39, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

Ah ha! You're absolutely correct. It is indeed the Arena Room. After you mentioned that, I went ahead and used Ctrl+F on the main page to search for 'Arena'. The screenshot displayed there is simply at an odd angle; I must have scroll past it, without realising what I was looking at. Thank you for that.
Oh, interesting. Let me try that, and show you the screenshot that I took. *a few minutes later* Um... nope, I got that error again. After following your instructions, it led to a blank white page with just that same error text on it.
Thank you for sending that over there. Hopefully whatever it is, gets resolved. Quavelen (talk) 14:21, 6 March 2017 (UTC)
Just thought I'd add this here, as I'm not-sure where it can be emphasized, better, from the "Illager Beast," Wiki topic:
"Illager beasts now spawn in arena in woodland mansions."
Probably like "Witches in Swamp Huts" (of Swamp-again Biome). I.e. , I haven't-seen, any of these, in the Snapshots ahead-of 1.14, Village and Pillage Update.
Perhaps also more-note should be made of the small-chance (again, haven't-ever seen these I think) of a Spider Spawner. It's on the main Page, but saying they're there in the main Page for this doesn't-really give any more note, to the fact that there could be a bunch of agile Spiders - and /or Elephantine, Pillager Beasts - in their respective - and different - Possible, places. Organization[edit]

The rooms are not organized in the list. I propose that they are rearranged into alphabetical order. The BlobsPaper.png 00:42, 12 September 2017 (UTC)

Add the Trivia section with at least one fun fact[edit]

- The music discs found in Woodland Mansion chests, "Cat" and "13" were the first music discs added to Minecraft.

Its just same music disc found in dungeon. ImakerB (talk) 21:05, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
