Opinionative[]

This article sounds like it was written by 2pp itself. There's a lot of opinionative phrases like "And they have good reason to thank!" "And what was really cool", and there's also a lot of usage of "you" and "I", which shouldn't be used in factual wiki articles. There's also unnecessary uses of exclamation points - it's not supposed to sound like someone is talking to you. May as well just add some stereotypical african american dialect.

"Oh, Lordie Lordie! Dis here article here is really good pal, you'dsa better read it pal! Tis a really good article, mon."

I'd edit this myself but it's 3 AM here and I've got to go. Anyone care to fix it? Turtleey 09:18, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Name[]

I would change the name to Minecraft:The_History_of_Mojang. The story isin my opinion a little bit like if it would be only fantasy –Preceding unsigned comment was added by NaNdummy (Talk|Contribs) 17:40, 23 November 2011 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Pirate Bay upload[]

I asked on Twitter if they really did, since a username and well written description on that site isn't proof enough, but haven't received an answer. Aside from the handful of news, including an article on Joystiq, I don't see any external proof they are claiming this upload and all the news posts are quoting the upload description on that site.

However... skipping through the downloaded movie, it seems this is a special version with hardcoded scrolling text saying to purchase the movie, directing the viewer to www.storyofmojang.com, which redirects to http://2playerproductions.com/news/current. I believe, short of a response from 2PP's social media outlets, this may be proof it's an authorized upload from them or just a good-guy pirate bringing free advertising. Here's two screenshots of the first (starting at 3:45) and second (22:55) occurrences of the scrolling text. --Kanegasi C 02:32, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

Kotaku has since confirmed that the Pirate Bay upload is indeed from 2 Player Productions (last paragraph): http://kotaku.com/5970811/minecraft-the-story-of-mojang-is-on-the-pirate-bay-on-purpose. -- Hower64 03:13, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
Okay, that's good enough evidence for me. -- Orthotope 03:38, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

Pirate Bay Description[]

Should the description be quoted in a more obvious manner? I checked the actual PB upload, and they actually show more of an understanding towards torrents and illegal downloads than this article makes it seem. Of course, everyone probably looks at the way it was quoted differently, but I believe it's hard to tell that they show understanding with the quote. This may not matter, but I'm just giving my two cents. 24.149.92.163 20:07, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
