Earth Announcements[]

Can I write about some of the things I have seen in the trailer and MINECON Earth? Mainly stuff like the 'Nagatina Skeletons' and 'Key Thing', but also features like the hammers and powers. When you don't succeed, just give up -- Doghead0307 (talk) 12:57, 4 December 2018 (UTC)

Are Minecraft: Dungeons topics going to be here or on a separate Wiki?[]

Is there going to be a Minecraft: Dungeons wiki when the game comes out, or are topics about it going to be on this wiki? I even have an idea - minecraft.gamepedia.com/Minecraft:Dungeons/[page name here] so as to keep it sepapate from Minecraft-related subjects. The only problem would be - Would the Pillager info from Minecraft: Dungeons be on the Pillager page (in a different section), a page under the Minecraft: Dungeons namespace (as .../Pillager_(Minecraft:_Dungeons)), or both? Just wondering... --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table JE1 BE1 VillagerFace Diamond Sword 16:21, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

More than definitively it’ll be on a separate wiki. Seeing as this wiki is for the Minecraft base game, it makes no sense to have pages for a spin-off here. Most likely this page will just detail what modes the game will have, the plot for single player (i.e. Minecraft: Story Mode), and just a bunch of other general information. -BDJP (t|c) 16:42, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Okay, but here's the thing: Minecraft: Story Mode is by TellTale, not Mojang. So I thought since Minecraft: Dungeons is going to be made by Mojang, it should be on this wiki. Does this make sense? --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) Smithing Table JE1 BE1 VillagerFace Diamond Sword 16:38, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

We do need a "main page"-styled link to Project:Minecraft_Dungeons...[]

don't we? –Preceding unsigned comment was added by RubenVerg (talkcontribs) at 14:09, 26 June 2019 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

The see also section, in which you linked to such, is only used for articles that are of relevance to the topic, of which the project is not. -BDJP (t|c) 14:16, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
Oh, sorry. I tried this way then. - RubenVerg :) (talk) 14:07, 27 June 2019 (UTC)

Crafting[]

Has any information about crafting in Minecraft Dungeons been released? Will crafting even be possible in the game?46.132.186.229 14:05, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

I'm from the future to tell you that I think it released a month and 24 days after this. Also correct, no crafting. Lol. --75.108.152.71 15:32, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

Names in the Official Guide[]

As all of you know, Mojang released their official guide on how to play Minecraft Dungeons. The book uses the terms as follows:

Dodge/Roll (dash), Inventory Chests (supply chests), Emerald Chests, Emerald Pots, etc....

Should we use these official terms instead of the ones we're using now?--skylord_wars (talk) 07:58, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

Most of these have in-game names, I'd say we should use the ones actually reflected in-game. These could be redirects and possible trivia though. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 07:28, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
I say we use the official terms. I just think that we should use the terms that Mojang prefers. 76.110.120.41 19:11, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
While I agree with PancakeIdentity that we should make those terms redirects I think the actual pages should use the in-game names because those are the names people will look for. If I just saw an item called x and wanted to know more about it I would search for a page called x not a page called y even if y is the offical name. Using other naes than the ones in-game will confuse people without having any benefit. Of course the offical names should still be mentioned ib the article but they shouldn't be the name of the page Asarta (Talk) 19:24, 29 July 2020 (UTC)

Media vs Merchandise[]

Right now there are two sections describing merchandise, Media and Merchandise which are both level 2 headings. The two sections however are near copies of each other with one having slightly more information on Minecraft Dungeons:The Rise of the Arch-Illager and the other one also including Guide to Minecraft Dungeons: A handbook for heroes. In my opinion there is no need for these two sections to both be level 2 headings and to contain roughly the same information. I propose that instead media becomes a level 3 heading under Merchandise (a level 2 heading) with Media combining the information in both sections. Anyone have any additions or objections? September 8th[]

On September 8th, Creeping Winter is supposed to be released along with many new merchants and Daily Trials. Does anyone have any more information about the merchants? Like maybe a new page? Jungle Awakens (talk) 13:28, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Yeah. I'm friends with Jungle Awakens. Also, I think they are going to add a Toolsmith and Weaponsmith. Creeping Winter (talk) 19:37, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
Ok but like why do you think that???????????????????????Also seems weird why your accounts were created near the same time like according to the account creation log, they were created 11 minutes apart .... probs real-life friend than.---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 19:40, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
So i don't think you are the same people because of https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Talk:Minecraft_Dungeons&diff=prev&oldid=1659173 and https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Talk:Minecraft_Dungeons&diff=1659184&oldid=1659183---Humiebee Discuss anything with me Look at my edits 19:44, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
And also, in answer to your question, I think they are gonna add a Toolsmith and Weaponsmith and Armorer because the Blacksmith will be used to upgrade gear. I think they also might add a Fletcher. Creeping Winter (talk) 13:24, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
lol yeah their names kinda confused me at first ngl. James Haydon (talk) 01:42, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

Creeping Winter DLC[]

The creeping winter DLC (Downloadable content) leaks have been updated as Mojang has posted some knew pictures of possible gamemodes in MD and some knew features that will be added to the game such as new ways to trade weapons and stuff. The gamemode can be possibly a wave of mods gamemode. Cant wait for more content updates

I am also wondering if there is gonna be any DLC's after this. Like are going to have one for the other 2 dimensions. Even with the 2 DLC's, we will only have 16 levels in total (including the tutorial). James Haydon (talk) 15:47, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
Please sign your name by typing four tildes (the ~ symbol). Also, I personally think that we will be getting those Waves of mobs as those Daily Trials. Creeping Winter (talk) 14:55, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
I don't think we will be just getting Creeping Winter mobs as part of our daily trials. James Haydon (talk) 17:03, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

Can somebody Please make a Season Pass page?[]

I wasn't able to see the Q&A, so did anyone say anything about what's happening after the Ocean DLC and End DLC? Will they just keep adding more DLCs or make a Minecraft Dungeons 2? Minecraft Dungeons Flames of the Nether (talk) 19:29, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

Nothing was announced as of yet. Dlljs (talk) 19:34, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Yeah but I'm really curious to see what they have planned for the Ocean and End DLC's. I don't know if Minecraft Dungeons will last for another year or two, or if it will just get shut down like Minecraft Earth. I really hope it isn't the latter. 199.243.89.130 23:15, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

Minecraft Dungeons Blocks[]

Is there a reason there isn't a Minecraft Dungeons Blocks page? I assume it's because they're used as a backdrop as opposed to being used to build with, but some documentation on at least groups or types of textures would be nice. (Then we can see all the building blocks we don't get to use in Java Edition.)Yekulten (talk) 19:02, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

There actually is one at MCD:Blocks. Someone made an FOTN blocks page but it got moved to that title since it wasn't that notable. Someone spent a lot of time getting those block names, so we might no be able to add onto that page for a long time. James Haydon (talk) 00:22, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Should we add ambush as a page?[]

Just wondering. Blu Gy (talk) 14:20, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Yes 105.225.210.9 14:21, 20 May 2021 (UTC)

Maybe move the Minecraft Dungeons to a new wiki[]

The Minecraft Dungeons database is huge and has so many articles! Gameplay is also very different from normal Minecraft. So, maybe its time that this should have its own wiki like minecraftdungeons.gamepedia.com or something. What do you think everyone? --SuperDragonXD1 (talk) 07:24, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

That would require a huge discussion to take place for that to happen. Minecraft Dungeons having its own wiki has been brought up before, but it was ultimately decided to make it its own namespace on the Minecraft Wiki instead. James Haydon (talk) 12:49, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
I believe that we should have entire separate wikis. This one for Minecraft. One for Dungeons and Dungeons Arcade. One for Earth. One for Story Mode. Also, I found this information from a tweet by a Dungeons developer:

“Drives me a bit nuts that the Dungeons wiki and the Minecraft wiki are basically the same thing, so every time I search for something in Dungeons I get the Minecraft thing first.” [1]

The developer also tweeted this as well:

“Yeah and it's only going to get worse over time. I think that community needs to figure out if it's a Minecraft franchise wiki or broken down by game. If I want to know about sheep, personally, it's not "all sheep that have appeared in a Minecraft game".” [2]

The fact that a developer of Dungeons is suggesting this is proof that this would really be beneficial for everyone if this were to happen. Before I saw these tweets, I thought that every Minecraft game should have it’s very own wiki. After I saw these tweets, I now really wish for each Minecraft game to have its own wiki on Gamepedia. In fact, I have an idea for this. Everything on this wiki can stay until the other wikis get made. Drour1234 (talk), 11 August 2021 (UTC)

i personally don't agree, but the 'every time I search for something in Dungeons I get the Minecraft thing first' thing is a problemMr. trex 2021 (talk) 15:53, 11 August 2021 (UTC)Mr. rex
This wiki should only be for vanilla Minecraft. It should not a Minecraft Franchise wiki. The easiest way to fix the search issue is to make each game get its own wiki. This one has grown too large since it has multiple games on it. Maybe other wikis should be created and information would be moved to them, but the information would also stay on this wiki. This can be the franchise wiki connecting all of the wikis until all the information is moved. Drour1234 (talk), 11 August 2021 (UTC)
This discussion should be held in Minecraft Wiki talk:Community portal, not here on this page. Amatulic (talk) 03:07, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
