Move to Beta 1.9-prex?[edit]

In the files it is referred to as 1.9-prex, not "Prerelease". What should we use: the internal version or what it says visually? – Nixinova Grid Book and Quill.png Grid Diamond Pickaxe.png Grid Map.png 04:59, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Preferably what it says visually, since that's what the players will be more familiar with and recognise the version as. - MinecraftPhotos4U (talk) 06:51, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
Agreed. ―HalfOfAKebab (talk, contribs) 12:35, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
What it says visually is more preferable, because the correct name of a version is what THE GAME says it is, not its files.--87.202.191.240 06:29, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

Download?[edit]

As all versions of Java Edition, we need a .jar file and a .json file. But there is no .json file on the page. Can someone add it to all pre-releases of 1.0.0?--87.202.191.240 06:33, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

I will add one when archive.org is back up (should be somewhere in here). – Nixinova Nixinova sig1.png Nixinova sig2.png 06:46, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the link Nixinova. Now there's no need to upload the .json file. I can find it myself.--87.202.191.168 13:03, 26 June 2019 (UTC)
But archive.org doesn't have the snapshots. It has only Pre-Classic, Classic, Indev, Infdev, Alpha and Beta. It doesn't have the release, so I can't find 11w47a and others that don't have the .json file in the Wiki page. Can someone find and upload .json files for snapshots of 1.1 - 1.5 that don't have?--87.202.191.144 14:15, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
