Adding historical information to articles regarding loot chest changes
Is it worthwhile or necessary to state the changes to the loot chest components to all articles where a change is involved? I bring this up now as there have been quite significant changes as per this snapshot. For example, I added the addition of detector rails to minecart chests to the history section of the Detector Rail page, would there be a need to do the same for all other loot chest changes listed? It would be quite a lot of work backtracking all the 1.9 changes, as there would need to be new information added to many articles going back to the contents of the End city chests and Igloo chests. –Goandgoo ᐸ Talk

- From the looks of it, 15w43a to c is just implementing the system and trying to match the original, while 15w44a is where all the actual planned changes happened, so I would only note anything which either lasted from 15w43a or b or was changed in 15w44a.
- Anyways, from what I saw, Sealbudsman and Anomie x have been doing a pretty good job of adding this information to articles, though there still might be a bit missing. –KnightMiner t/c 15:10, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, Anomie x did a good thing there. I've been going alphabetically through the items in the 'upcoming' chart in Chest loot, so if anybody wants to pick it up after 'book', feel free. It's a bit of grunt work comparatively. I've been putting things in terms of 'average yield' which is the '# items' column, which I think is a good measure; for instance with Stick, the chances decreased but the stack size rocketed up, so average yield went up. Questions, comments? Feel free to take it and run if you want. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 15:27, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
- Done with loot chest history up through 15w44a, which is the same as 44b. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 17:42, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
