Verify command italic text thing not working on OSX[edit]

I am running OSX and do not get this bug. Must only happen on some versions of OSX. PancakeMan77 (talk) 20:42, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

I'm running Yosemite and the text shows up fine. Clamlol (talk) 23:56, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Verify snow golem outside of igloos[edit]

I have found 3 igloos with basements, and none of them had a snow golem. It might be a chance thing, where it does not always spawn. PancakeMan77 (talk) 23:34, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

It did occur to me only after editing that it may be a chance spawn, but I didn't have time to look into it further. Sucks having to go to work on a snapshot day... I just reloaded said world and realized that there are pumpkins in the immediate vicinity of the igloo, and there were endermen around. Yep, this one's a bust. *facepalm* BombChu16 (talk) 01:48, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
That's kind of funny. It seemed like a very likely thing to have added. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 03:12, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Mob drop changes[edit]

Anomie x or someone else with knowledge of the code, do the changes in 15w44b change any part of the following statement?:

Note: many changes below were reverted or modified in 15w43b and 15w43c, with the exception of the change to the drop chances from guardians, the change of elder guardians dropping dry rather than wet sponges, the addition of Looting affecting chicken and rabbit meat drops, and the change to how Looting affects spider eye drops. Also, as of 15w34c horses again drop their items, but always 1 rather than 0–2. GoandgooTalk

Horses leather drop was reverted to 1.8 behavior in 15w44b, but undead horses dropping bones or rotten flesh was not. Otherwise, I think everything there is still accurate. Anomie x (talk) 12:21, 31 October 2015 (UTC)

Another mob drop change[edit]

I just realized another thing that probably changed due to loot tables: before, attacks by tamed wolves counted as player attacks and so would give the usual chance for rare drops. But with loot tables it requires an actual player to have attacked within the 5 seconds before death, wolves don't count anymore. That could use double-checking though. Anomie x (talk) 19:54, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Maybe despite what the loot tables indicate, they have it further up in the code somewhere that wolf kills count as player kills? – Sealbudsman talk/contr 20:25, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
There are two variables involved, which MCP calls recentlyHit and attackingPlayer. On a player attack, both are set, while on a wolf attack recentlyHit is set while attackingPlayer is cleared. The old code only checked recentlyHit when deciding about rare drops, while the loot tables code checks both. Note XP and weapons/armor will still drop from wolf kills, just not loot table entries flagged as player kills. Anomie x (talk) 21:14, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
I created a basic loot table with guaranteed drop if killed by player (example). Had a tame wolf kill the mob, resulting in no drop, so wolves are definitely not considered anymore. Skylinerw (talk) 21:23, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
