Features[edit]

I think that the fletching table, bluestone, and smithing table will come with this update. Also, goats, snowier snow, and mountain changes will not be coming in 1.15, I am not sure if it will be 1.16 or a later release. MrOinkingPig (talk) 23:07, 28 September 2019 (UTC)

None of those have been confirmed and the bluestone has even been confirmed to not be coming.  Nixinova T  C  02:05, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
They said the smithing and fletching table would be added in the next major themed update, so I think we can put that in planned changes.73.208.227.101 23:41, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

we know nothing about 1.16 . all we know is that 1.15 is the nether update. --173.180.201.172 18:31, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Did you even bother with reading any of the references? The Minecraft site itself clearly states that 1.16 is the Nether Update, and it can be seen that 1.15 is much more akin to the pre-merge 1.13 Technically Updated version. - 87.115.193.152 18:42, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Cyan vs Blue[edit]

The fire and forest colors, despite being referred to as "blue" by the devs, are actually cyan. I made a statement about how it's really cyan, and it got removed because "cyan is just a shade of blue". It is not - Its RGB value is (0,255,255) meaning it's halfway between blue and green, the same way yellow is halfway between red and green. How has nobody heard of cyan when it is literally a dye IN MINECRAFT? User-9892733 (talk) 23:52, 28 September 2019 (UTC)

Mojang called it blue so it is blue. End of story.  Nixinova T  C  02:05, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
I disagree. Mojang often call the same thing with multiple names; for example, Namespaced ID has 3 different names from Mojang. I agree with User-9892733 that a description may be very helpful. liach (talk) 02:10, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
Let's just say blue for now, once a page is created we can have this as a piece of trivia or something. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 23:34, 29 September 2019 (UTC)
Sounds like a good idea.--Delibirda (talk) 16:55, 11 November 2019 (UTC)

Semi-Protected Request[edit]

This article need to be semi-protected due to so many IP editors put unsourced and false infomation just like Java Edition 1.15 got already semi-protected--Ellaflowercutie (talk) 06:34, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

Thanks, semi-protected for a month (will monitor when the protection ends to see if it needs to be semi-d for longer).--Madminecrafter12 (Talk to me | View what I've done) 12:18, 29 September 2019 (UTC)

Piglin Bastion Source[edit]

Can we get some kind of source for the information about piglin bastions on this page? I have not heard them mentioned at all. Also, I have not edited a talk page before, did I do this right? Slashertor (talk) 17:51, 30 September 2019 (GMT)

It's mentioned in the Minecraft.net article.  Nixinova T  C  18:56, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
Thanks :) Slashertor (talk) 19:04, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Unidentified glow block[edit]

I think that the glow blocks are fruits, another source for food, alternative to the Hoglin.--71.227.116.150 19:52, 19 October 2019 (UTC)

Source?--Delibirda (talk) 13:44, 10 November 2019 (UTC)

Block images before the block name[edit]

Should we keep these images that are displayed before the name of each block? I'd personally vote for removing them, as it's inconsistent with every other history page. However, as these blocks don't have their own pages yet, I can see their usefulness. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 21:54, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

Agree with that reasoning. I support keeping the images here until they are moved to the separate articles. --AttemptToCallNil (report bug, view backtrace) 23:50, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
Support keeping the images per ATCN's comment. –Sonicwave talk 23:54, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
Keep the images until they can be split out onto dedicated snapshot pages. - User-12316399 (talk) 23:57, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

Citation needed[edit]

Who said that 1.16 will not update mountains? If the article meant that, for example, the savanna would not get updated, we need to spesify it.--Delibirda (talk) 13:43, 10 November 2019 (UTC)

Maria tweeted it. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 19:55, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
Gr8. I added the source.--Delibirda (talk) 16:53, 11 November 2019 (UTC)

Coming of the forgotten new updates[edit]

Are the Savanna, the Desert, the Badlands, and the Swamp updates coming in 1.18? 111.88.15.209 16:24, 16 November 2019 (UTC)

The only information we have is that the Mountains features won't be arriving in 1.16. We don't know anything about the release times of the other biome updates. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 23:17, 16 November 2019 (UTC)

Unsourced Files[edit]

Neither of the two files in 'subsequent screenshots' are sourced; this could be a problem. --Slashertor (talk) 09:44, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

What have they done to the Nether?[edit]

Isn't the Nether supposed to be like the Hell of Minecraft? I don't think adding blue trees is going to complement that effect... -Musical Dragonix (formerly known as Phoenixsong) 50.53.67.240 06:17, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

I don't know, it could be interesting. In any case, Hell doesn't have to be red all the time. Also, from the screenshots I do genuinely think that it works well. Slashertor (talk) 19:50, 10 December 2019 (UTC)

Citation not correct[edit]

Citation #4 does not confirm that the names of those blocks are soul soil or basalt. It instead links to one of Maria's tweets about how beds should work in the nether. I've managed to find that soul soil is the real name, but I couldn't confirm basalt for myself. If the names are in that tweet as a reply, they're lost somewhere in the discussion and should be linked to directly.–Preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.112.162.132 (talk) at 6:34, 08 December 2019 (UTC). Note 1 source?[edit]

It is stated in note 1 that fire lit on soul sand will not be blue fire. I agree that this is almost certainly true, however, it'd be nice if that note had some sort of source attributed to it, like a Mojang employee stating it was true? --Invicon Command Block.gif DigiDuncan! (talk) Grid Blue Floppy Disk (ComputerCraft).png 01:39, 16 January 2020 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it was sourced before. Not sure why it was removed. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 02:05, 16 January 2020 (UTC)

Present or future tense?[edit]

According to User:Dr03ramos the Planned changes should be written in present tense (https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/index.php?title=Java_Edition_1.16&diff=1487352&oldid=1487351). Should this be? IMO, it should be future tense, since it's an update coming in the future, and no snapshots or pre-releases has released either. "Mobs" and "Gameplay" in Planned changes section already uses future tense. 194.34.132.137 20:26, 16 January 2020 (UTC)

Support future tense as it's in the future. Seems simple enough. -PancakeIdentity (talk) 21:46, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
