Version type[]

I changed the type of this version from "snapshot" to "pending" today but now I found that it has been changed back to "snapshot". Why? Both the game and the launcher say that it is a pending, and please let me know why you think it is a snapshot.--87.202.191.192 12:24, 28 June 2019 (UTC)

Well, that's because pending means "about to happen", and you can't say 'a pending'. Lanxtot (talk) 12:28, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
It says 1.14.3 Combat Test/pending because it, according to jeb_ (who made it), it is a "Custom Snapshot". I downloaded it a while ago to see if I could mess with the JAR and find out what does what. The JSON file is just a series of links for the game to auto-download all of the files. The assets match 1.14. I don't know what the other stuff does ("Oshi Core 1.1? What the heck is Oshi Core 1.1?"). Anyway, jeb_ said it is a snapshot so it is a snapshot. --AwesomeNinja886 (talk) (Smithing Table JE1 BE1 Contributions) (VillagerFace My favorite mob) (Diamond Sword Minecraft Dungeons Wiki project) 13:16, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
Support for using "pending". Look at File:Release 1.14.3 Combat Test.png which clearly says that this version is "/pending" instead of "snapshot". liach (talk) 23:40, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
The version type is just what the devs call it. "Pending" is not a type, it's a description. The "pending" only comes from the json file, it has nothing to do with the version itself. Jeb calls it a snapshot, so it's a snapshot. – Nixinova Nixinova sig1 Nixinova sig2 23:56, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
Thank goodness someone agrees with me... although I mentioned messing around with the JSON that is the same point I was trying to get across.--AwesomeNinja886 (talk) (Smithing Table JE1 BE1 Contributions) (VillagerFace My favorite mob) (Diamond Sword Minecraft Dungeons Wiki project) 00:26, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
Sure. This "snapshot" versus "pending" thing would be trivial; as long as the facts about this version is correct, I am fine. liach (talk) 02:57, 29 June 2019 (UTC)

Move to "Java Edition 1.14.3 - Combat Test"?[]

This version is named 1.14.3 - Combat Test. The page is named 1.14.3 Combat Test, without the hyphen. I suggest that this page be moved to Java Edition 1.14.3 - Combat Test. What do you think about it?--87.202.191.240 07:17, 29 June 2019 (UTC)

Also konwn as Combat Test 1?[]

How about adding "1.14.3 - Combat Test (also known as Combat Test 1)" in the first section to follow the new naming rule? Jingji132 (talk) 04:46, 16 August 2019 (UTC)

There's no "new" naming "rule". Mojang is just being inconsistent as usual.  Nixinova T  C  08:19, 16 August 2019 (UTC)
