Just a "decorative" block?[]

Hello, my name's Andrea. I was thinking: is glass just a "decorative" block? I don't think so, because it's both decorative & necessary sometimes, don't you think? Through glass you may see stuff beyond a certain threshold which others can't surpass to come to you. Regards.

Do zombie reinforcements spawn on glass?[]

The article currently states: "As a solid block, zombie reinforcements can spawn on top of glass, resulting in unexpected zombies "sneaking into" an otherwise secure area of a structure. It also correctly states that mobs cannot spawn on glass. Is it true that zombie reinforcements are an exception, and can spawn on glass? --Runamucker (talk) 11:40, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Bob Bridges, robhbridges (gmail): I think we need a new section here -- we could maybe call it "Interactions". I've noticed that creepers cannot see me through glass; spiders and phantoms can. I don't think archers can, or skeletons, or whatever they're called. Others will be able to fill in behavior of other mobs.

And once, long ago, I saw an enderman who walked onto a glass surface and immediately started to sink into it. He didn't turn red as if he were taking damage, but he immediately teleported away. I usually build my first shelter into the side of a hill because it's fastest as the first nightfall approaches, but after that they're all of glass: walls and roof both, so I can see whether there are any creepers around before I walk out during the day. This particular shelter was near a hill, and I think the enderman walked from the ground onto my roof. Maybe he teleported there, but that's not how I remember it. As I said, he immediately started to sink into it, and teleported away. That was some years ago and maybe endermen can walk on glass now, but they couldn't back then, at least.

Glass is weak. Building out of stone helps protect from creepers; glass does not. So I make small glass windows to let me look out, and a lookout platform on top of my home base to pick off creepers with a bow before I venture out.
I have no idea about zombie reinforcements, because I play Bedrock. Amatulic (talk) 04:35, 1 August 2021 (UTC)

"Stained Glass" redirects here, but is not discussed[]

If one clicks the stained glass link in the first paragraph, it brings one right back to this page. However, nowhere on the page does it say how to make stained glass. Can we get this fixed, please? SirDaddicus (talk) 00:27, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

I might be talking about some other named glass. It's the stuff made with amethyst I'm referring to. SirDaddicus (talk) 00:29, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
Never mind. I looked up amethyst, and found it's tinted glass, not stained. Sorry. SirDaddicus (talk) 00:30, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
Um... did you look at the crafting recipes? Stained glass variants are right there. It isn't the same as tinted glass, it's stained glass. However, actually making stained glass is in the glass pane article, so I have changed the stained glass redirect to point there. You just combine glass panes with dye, and you get stained glass panes. Amatulic (talk) 06:15, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

I think this should have a merge with stained glass and tinted glass.[]

{{Merge|Glass Pane|Glass}} They're pretty much the same. I ALSO SAID MERGE WITH GLASS PANE
