Talk:End Portal Frame
According to the 12w23b inventory, the official name of this block is 'End Portal'. The usual policy of this wiki has been to rename pages to match the official/in-game name. However, in this case End Portal already exists, covering the entire portal structure. Do we make an exception in this case, try to merge the articles, or what? -- Orthotope 08:38, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
Very good question, although SOMEONE seems to have deleted the whole talk page. I had a section about that in the old talk page. Someone should contact Jeb about it and see if he could give us a proper name. I think that we should leave it like this for now, untill we get more information. Does anyone have beta 1.9 textures of this? I want to see the old skyland frame for (so called) portal. Arrran Weeviling 14:53, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

I think that is intended, I played this on 1.7.2 and it probably made this noise. Not a bug. 184.108.40.206 04:47, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
Teleporting In Trivia
In the Trivia section, there is an item about teleporting to the End while standing on the block. This sometimes occurs when activating a portal due to the portal block being one block tall and the frame being shorter, and is not a bug. I am not sure if this is what the article is referencing, or if it is something else entirely, but I thought it worth mentioning. 220.127.116.11 17:39, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

- Currently, you don't. The End will be implemented in the next update. -- Orthotope 12:49, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
Now see here, End Portal is also the name for a technical block.--1234567890Number 22:04, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
I am translating this article, and found something not consistent.
- The end portal blocks, like the bedrock, are indestructible
- When an end portal block is broken after being activated, the portal itself will not be deactivated.
- When broken, these blocks make the same breaking noise as glass blocks.
