Why is absolutely everything in Creative mode varies? I changed the multiplayer to yes, because surely it does have it, but obviously it doen't have respawn after death or health, and you surely can change your spawn point, but for those it says "Varies". Is there a point to these? --Pseudorealism 21:05, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Oh, and also, I'm pretty sure Alpha doesn't have infinite map, any more, and we may need a "Removed" Template for that and the classic mobs. --Pseudorealism 21:07, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Chart addition[edit]

Since nearly everything on the devcycle chart between Alpha and Beta is the same, I thought it would be a good idea to add in row "Colored Wool"; Yes for Classic Creative & Beta, no for Survival Test, Indev, Infdev, and Alpha. Anyone agree?

Good idea, but sign your comment :) Calinou 23:34, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

@Anonymous User- I'm not really sure what you're trying to convey with this comment. A little elaboration would be appreciated. Fai 23:45, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, I made that back in the days when I did not know how to sign a comment. Check the page history for confirmation. But anyways, it has already been added the way I described. I only put this topic because I've had a history of being terrible with Wiki-style coding, so best to let a more experienced user do the task. UGoBoom 00:12, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Rewritten Source[edit]

It says that the entire source was scrapped and rewritten, which I seriously doubt. Being a programmer, I know how hard it is even to rewrite a fairly small program. It would have taken Notch a very long time to rewrite Minecraft. JosephTheMadMan 05:56, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

EDIT: NVM, I read it again, and I see that it meant he scrapped gradually. JosephTheMadMan 05:56, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Big Edit[edit]

I made a rather large edit to the page and accidentally marked it as a minor edit. Sorry for any confusion, I'm quite used to making smaller edits and marking them minor. Pickledineen 04:52, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

Page deletion[edit]

So I propose for this page to be deleted, for a number of reasons:
1. The content on this page can be found on Minecraft, in the development section. There is not much reason at all to keep two different versions of the same thing - for those people who just simply searched "Minecraft", they will read that, rather than coming to this page. For those people who believe that this page should be kept because it has more detail than on that page - well you'd be wrong. Based strictly on words, the main Minecraft page on the development contains more than 200 words here.
2. Much of this content is not kept up to date.
2.1. The section on Pocket Edition does not contain any useful information on the actual development of MCPE, rather an out of date feature summary (which seems to contain information as of Alpha 0.2.0). The main
2.2. The page does not say anything about changes after 1.0.0 (while the Minecraft page does). The development cycle is a continuing and ongoing process, and stopping it at the official release seems a silly idea (1.4 has much more features than 1.0 for example)
2.3. Where is the Minecraft XBOX edition development cycle? Doesn't seem to be here to me. So in conclusion: The content can be found on the main Minecraft page in much more detail, and a lot of the information appears to be out of date.

Disagree. I don't think the information should be on the Minecraft page, but remain here as a separate page. We could also leave this as a redirect or disambiguation page.Extreme 16:14, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
Good idea, this page should probably be turned into a redirect rahter than deleted. Now I just probably need more opinions on this issue.
