Problem with page[edit]

Why is this page in Russian? -Sanoth –The preceding undated comment was added on 17:24, 10 May 2012. Please sign your posts with ~~~~

I'm getting the same error. The page is correct in editing mode but not when viewing it normally. --Moxxy 17:33, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
For me its also wrong in edit mode, this is what it says:

The database did not find the text of a page that it should have found, named "Cocoa Plant" .

This is usually caused by following an outdated diff or history link to a page that has been deleted.

If this is not the case, you may have found a bug in the software. Please report this to an administrator, making note of the URL. -Sanoth –The preceding undated comment was added on 17:42, 10 May 2012. Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Yes, that happens to me, too. --☺ Sven ? ! 17:48, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Water and pistons[edit]

From what i can tell, pistons will break the cocoa pods. However, i did not have time to test how they react to water. can anyone test this? -- 22:43, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

here ( If you don't want to watch the video, than here is the answer. when water hits the pod, from the sides or top, they get harvested. ZeCraftyMiner 00:52, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Am i the only one who thinks these look like paper lamps? ZeCraftyMiner 00:42, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

these are on the xbox 360 edition, correct? i can't seem to find them. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by BookLover715 (Talk|Contribs) 20:41, 14 June 2012. Please sign your posts with ~~~~

The current Xbox version is based on Beta 1.6, which is about a year old, so no. They'll be in release 1.3, whenever that comes out. -- Orthotope 01:06, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

Problems Planting[edit]

Is anyone having a problem planting them on the jungle trees? I made sure they where jungle trees and they don't seem to want to plant –Preceding unsigned comment was added by (Talk) 17:48, 25 June 2012 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

  • The cocoa plant was introduced with Snapshot 12w19a. If you have running V 1.1 or less, you cannot plant cocoas. --Kumasasa 18:09, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

Light Level[edit]

Could someone update the page with the light level that cocoa beans require to grow? Thanks. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by (Talk) 18:44, 5 August 2012 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Cocoa plants do not require light; they can grow in a completely black room. -- Orthotope 07:35, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Tile Change[edit]

The proper word for this block is cocoa pod. We don't say tall plants to define tall grass, so I don't see why we should label this pod as a plant as if it's undefined. Technically, jungle trees can also be called cocoa plants. It's actually unknown if Jeb was referring to the randomly generated jungle tree or the pod as the plant in his twitter that came with a screenshot. The fruit portion of the plant is what you call a pod that is a fact. This is an attempt to educate the misinformed to stop further confusions. Many people believe cocoa pods are cocoa beans. Some may also believe that cocoa pods are entirely separate from the jungle tree. I know what a cocoa pod is and I had trouble finding this page because of the awkward title. (Trenix 20:04, 15 August 2012 (UTC))

That's what redirects and 'about' templates are for. Jeb clearly calls them cocoa plants in the changelog (the trees were already in the game). ultradude25 (T|C) at 20:17, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
Searching for cocoa plant should be what redirects you to cocoa pod. The word plant is too broad and titles should be specific and right to the point. As said before, cocoa plant can be referred to the tree or the fruit. On this occasion we're talking about the fruit which is why the title should be cocoa pod and not cocoa plant. Ahhh cookies... perfect... the only thing that would make me happier would be orange juice! BazzarLarry 19:31, 27 August 2012 (UTC)

The text is not clear about if a tree can start getting a cocoa pod growing on it or if its just when the world generates there can be pods on the jungle tree. / 20:48, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

Good question. It's only on world-generated trees, not user-grown trees. – Sealbudsman talk/contr 20:55, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
