Size[]

I've been working on adding "Height" and "Width" in the style section of the characteristics for each mob. I've been taking the values straight out of the code, most of the time they can be found under "setSize". I have trouble finding the values for the blaze, because there is no "setSize" or something similar. Can someone with access to the code please look this up and add it to the characteristics? Luck[]

I'm playing my modpack with [[https://tinkers-construct.fanTinker's Construct and my sword have luck modifier level 31. How do it affect chance of dropping Blaze Rod(that thing I want)?

Do blazes spawn without a spawner?[]

One small point the article doesn't make clear (and I don't know the answer) is whether blazes can spawn without a spawner, like other mobs. The spawner produces blazes if the light level is 11 or less, but if the spawner is removed, do blazes still appear in the normal mob spawn range?

I have only ever seen blazes come from a spawner. If, after world creation, new blazes require a spawner to appear in the game, then the blaze is probably the only mob that does. Amatulic (talk) 15:08, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Hey, here we see you again! I'd be glad to answer. So the article says blazes naturally spawn in nether fortresses at light level 11 or less, which implies theses are neither spawner nor structure spawns. So they do spawn in the fortress without a spawner, but since they are hostile mobs, they are part of the monsters mob cap, which is 70 in Java, and I believe a similar thing exists in Bedrock. The 70 means there can at most be 70 hostile monsters in the loaded chunks, if there are more than 70, no more monsters will spawn (think of it as a budget). So often case when your fortress is surrounded by, say, a nether wastes biome, there will be zombified piglins spawning all over the terrain near the fortress, and you won't have enough "seats" for blazes to spawn in the fortress.
Monster spawners, on the other hand, works completely independent from the mob cap. In Java for example, even if there are 70 or more monsters in the world, the spawners can still spawn mobs. That's why you find blazes appearing from spawners so frequently.
There are still cases where blazes spawn more frequently in the general fortress though: if your fortress is surrounded by a soul sand valley, or a warped forest, there won't be enough skeletons and endermen spawning on the nearby terrain (you must have noticed how hard it is to find a skeleton in a soul sand valley!), leaving most of the monster spawning quota for the fortress. As a result, fortresses in these biomes tend to have much more blazes and wither skeletons spawning. Should Blazes be added to the Flying Mobs category?[]

I feel like they should, although you may argue that they "hover" or simply "float", but if chickens are in that category, I think blazes should be too
