Village and Pillage says that it will include the rest of the updates, like 1.4 and 1.5 for BE. - Liftski (talk) 17:19, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Liftski

Where should this page redirect to?[edit]

many users are edit warring on the page, i asking where this page should redirect to instead of engaging in the edit war? Planned versions, is this speculation page, no redirect anywhere, and delete the page? Where should the this page redirect to? Wikipedia-logo.png psl85 (talkcontribs) 17:30, 15 October 2018 (UTC)

Support speedy delete as no sources for this version exist. -BDJP (t|c) 16:18, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

Release date?[edit]

Hi Marioprotvi, where did you find that this version might be released in early 2019? It doesn't seem to be covered in the source you provided. Thanks!-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 21:25, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

1.9.0.2[edit]

Beta 1.9.0.2 is out and this page is still protected :/ – Nixinova Grid Book and Quill.png Grid Diamond Pickaxe.png 02:47, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

I've added the 1.9.0.2 additions and changes to the pages; for the fixes, I'm not sure which ones are from the previous full version and which ones are from the previous beta versions so I'll let you respond on that - if we keep the protection, it might be worth making an editcopy. I personally would say it's safe to lower it to semi now; I doubt it would continue to be vandalized by registered accounts and if it did the solution would be to simply block as long as it's just one user, like it previously was. Courtesy ping to Dinoguy1000, who upped the protection level to directors-only.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 03:00, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
The protection expires on December 1, so even if the page doesn't get unprotected (I have no objections, BTW), it'll happen on its own in a couple of days anyways. ディノ千?!☎ Dinoguy1000 09:14, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

3 month protection?[edit]

That seems a bit excessive. Why not just block the offenders? – Nixinova Grid Book and Quill.png Grid Diamond Pickaxe.png 01:02, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

Because every time I block someone on the wiki, I get shouted at on Discord. If another admin would like to block the offenders and remove the protection, I have no objections. ディノ千?!☎ Dinoguy1000 02:23, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
The only registered user who's ever disruptively edited this page is Therealtomcatgame, everyone else is an anonymous user, so although I have no doubt that this protection was completely made in good faith and I certainly see the reasoning behind it, directors-only protection for a whole 3 months seems a tiny bit over the top to me. My personal idea, which may not represent the wider view of the community or other admins, was to warn Therealtomcatgame, which I've now done, and if they continue adding unsourced release date speculation, give them a block, and if IPs were to edit this page unconstructively (which they have), apply semi-protection. Now, if more registered users started to disruptively edit the page, that would be a different case, in which directors protection may be warranted. I personally would support lowering to semi and blocking Therealtomcatgame if they continue, but I do think it would be nice to see if others feel the same way before undoing Dinoguy's admin action.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 03:02, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
I would also support lowering the protection to semi and blocking the offending user if they add the release date again. –Sonicwave talk 04:29, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
I appreciate the user being warned, and am fine with the protection being lowered, but I'm skeptical the warning will really do anything: the user has already been reverted multiple times for this behavior, across several articles, and they thanked me when I reverted them (this is not the first time a user has thanked me after I reverted what was almost certainly a bad-faith edit of theirs, but the last time, as I said above, I got shouted at when I blocked them). ディノ千?!☎ Dinoguy1000 08:15, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
My personal opinion: the warning may not do anything and they may continue, in which case one of us can give them a short block. The warning makes it clear that their behavior is prohibited and that they will be blocked if they continue. They haven't edited since then, but I'd be happy to block them for maybe 3 days - 1 week should they make one more edit that speculates a release date. (btw they thanked me for reverting them as well, strange)-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 14:05, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
I've lowered the protection down to semi- now. I'm trying to decide what we should to with Bedrock Edition 1.9/editcopy now; should we keep it so that anonymous users can suggest changes to this page? Should we just redirect it here so that we can easily create it again in the future? Or should be outright delete it?-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 14:15, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
I think the editcopy can probably be deleted, since none of the other semi-protected pages have editcopies (as far as I'm aware at least) and the editcopy doesn't have much page history on it. –Sonicwave talk 20:39, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
Instead of having to have a editcopy, on version pages and planned versions pages, with no set release dates, we could make so there is an abuse filter, that disallows the action instead of we have to protect the page so no one except directors can edit this page. The abuse filter could have "Disallow unsourced release dates on planned versions with no set release date" and we could test it before enabling it, this is the best solution for unsourced changes, the abuse filter. -- Wikipedia-logo.png psl85 (talkcontribs) 20:58, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
I've deleted the editcopy page.-- Madminecrafter12Orange Glazed Terracotta.pngTalk to meLight Blue Glazed Terracotta.png 19:12, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

tiaga and village update[edit]

Guys you forgot to add the changes to tiaga biomes with berry bushes and foxes and new village stuff.73.208.227.101 02:59, 8 January 2019 (UTC)

Those haven't come to Bedrock yet so that is why they aren't on this page. – Nixinova Nixinova sig image 1.png Nixinova sig image 2.png 03:05, 8 January 2019 (UTC)

Mobs[edit]

You forgot to add pillaged beasts and foxes to the mobs list.73.208.227.101 23:46, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

They will be added when they are added. Doesn’t mean they’ll be added in BE 1.9. -BDJP (t|c) 00:08, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

Pillagers[edit]

Are pillagers available in 1.9.0 without experimental gameplay and if yes, what with crossbows? Masterold96 (talk) 23:43, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Pillagers and Crossbow still unfinished in 1.9.0 so it still require experimental gameplay turned on, they are fully implemented in 1.10.0. ImakerB (talk) 23:47, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
Okay thanks, as there's no information in any article on wiki about that. Thanks again ;) Masterold96 (talk) 00:37, 9 February 2019 (UTC)

Passive Mobs now randomly enter Love Mode[edit]

Is this part true? I've been looking for something to verify this change. --132.147.6.240 15:45, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
