This needs to be properly written and full of content, seeing as it's the current development version, replacing indev and infdev. May take a bash at it tomorrow, if I have some time. --Philcsf 01:15, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

The Multiplayer code?[]

This could be a serious issue... should we allow the password to be displayed on the article? Or omit it from display since the password was originally leaked? Learner4 16:32, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

Notch announced it on his twitter. So it's no longer a leak. --Cooldudetb 18:05, 27 July 2010 (UTC)

we don't want to cause more stress on the server. any dedicated MC fan can easily find the code. to put it here will add more stress from those that want to just go on it with no testing frame of mind. I think it should not be on there. --Kizzycocoa 18:09, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
I agree. Anybody who wants to try it will look hard enough for it. If it stays on the page, then anyone who check this page at random would see it. Learner4 00:48, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Better Alpha picture/screenshot?[]

I feel like the current picture is a little silly and looks more like creative move with the alpha hub than an actual alpha game. Could we get a picture that better represents the alpha gametype? --Moxxy 21:48, 18 September 2010 (CDT)

It doesn't look quite right. I think a more survival-like screenshot will fit in here, preferably one that doesn't involve any creative mega-structures or a snow worlds.TheYeIIowDucK 21:54, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm agree with this. Can anyone take a new picture? --DjDCH 14:46, 31 October 2010 (CDT)

This is now a need since the entire novelty of the image in place that it is snowing, but falling snow is now a phased out after the recent update and introduction of biomes. Anyone got a sexy image of their place they want to put onto the main page?  ACLECTASIS  07:24, 22 November 2010 (CST)

Maybe a more "vanilla" image showing how beautiful the world the game naturally generates? --Scykei 07:28, 22 November 2010 (CST)
Here's a demo of what I think would be more appropriate. File:Alpha1.2.2biomes.jpg demonstrates Biomes, new sunrise and the change in the snow mechanics.  ACLECTASIS  21:15, 22 November 2010 (CST)
Here's a good picture. http://uploadanimations.com/upload/scykei/minecraft%20alpha%201.2.2.png. I created it but can't seem to upload it to the Wiki server. someone please do so for me. This is my last edit on this wiki though. Bye :) --Scykei 12:47, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Infinite Alpha?[]

Is the alpha map as infinitely generated as the infdev?--Grhaal 15:12, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Real name of Alpha?[]

The real name of Alpha mode should be Survival, no? We have on one side the Classic mode, and on the other side the Survival mode. Don't forget that the Alpha mode won't be an alpha forever. --DjDCH 19:53, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

There is still Survival Test mode, soon to be multiplayer( http://notch.tumblr.com/post/1452872379/survival-mode-multiplayer-is-priority-1 ) --User:ruan942 04:54, 04 November 2010 (UTC)

Beta[]

The beta's coming on the 20th (I'm sure you were aware), so do you think we should make it a page?

no.
not until we have more information.--Kizzycocoa 14:53, 12 December 2010 (CST)

Audio Issues[]

I tried to backdate Minecraft to Alpha 1.1.0 (the old launcher, I have the new launcher too) and I can't hear any sounds in Alpha, but I can hear stuff in Indev and Minecraft 1.6. Anyone know why? Glflegolas the Great 09:34, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

I've also got a similar problem; none of the versions before Alpha 1.2.0 have any sound for me. 81.159.104.40 12:38, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
I got the sound to work for Alpha 1.1.2_01! :) 81.159.104.40 12:41, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
