I see. In that case, the "official videos" mentioned in the basic rules (which up until now was all I had read, since I hadn't intended to get involved in videos) is slightly ambiguous; I figured it would include relevant videos published by Mojang staff. Oh well.
Not realizing that Slicedlime is a Mojang dev is definitely all on me; checking one of the edits I reverted, the name is even linked! Personally I'd have no problem broadening the video policy to allow for videos from any official source instead of just Curse, though we'd want to have a bit of discussion (probably including some commentary from Game widow or other Curse staff) and probably a list of known official accounts to source videos from.
I wouldn't exactly call Slicedlime a "random youtuber", considering he's a developer at Mojang. You can't really get any more official than that.
