Shrubs placed in an intersection between a taiga, a roofed forest and a desert.

Shrubs are variants of grass that do not generate naturally and are available only in Legacy Console Edition. They have the same characteristics as grass and ferns, and have the same texture as dead bushes, albeit with a green biome-dependent hue.

Natural generation[edit]

Shrubs, though identical in appearance to the dead bushes found in deserts and badlands, do not naturally generate and can be found only in the creative inventory.

Obtaining[edit]

When broken normally, shrubs drop 0 or 1 wheat seeds. They can be obtained as an item using shears.

Usage[edit]

Shrubs have a 18 chance of dropping wheat seeds when broken without using shears.[more information needed]

Placing a shrub into a composter has a chance[more information needed] of raising the compost level by 1.
