Redstone bug was a hostile mob present in Java Edition 2.0.

Spawn

Redstone bugs spawned close to redstone which was rapidly oscillating between strengths.

The Redstone Bug has a 45,5% to spawn after a Player mines a redstone ore

Behavior

Redstone bugs, effectively being tinted silverfish, shared all of their behavior.

Redstone bug can also be found spawning in stronghold area.
