See § Spawning
|— Ash Parrish|
Ravagers can spawn starting at wave 3 as part of raids.
Up to 5 Ravagers spawn as part of a raid. Unridden ravagers spawn at waves 3 and 5, a ravager ridden by a pillager spawns at waves 5 and 7, and a ravager ridden by an evoker spawns at wave 7.
Ravagers are hostile towards players, iron golems, villagers or adult villagers[Bedrock Edition only], and wandering traders[Java Edition only] within a 32-block radius in Java Edition or 16-block radius in Bedrock Edition. They attack by ramming enemies with their head, dealing 12 ( × 6) damage and high knockback. They can also destroy certain block types by charging into them.
|Block||Bedrock Edition||Java Edition|
|Sweet Berry Bush||Yes||No|
If blocked by a shield while attacking, no damage is dealt and knockback is halved. The ravager has about a 50% chance to become stunned and unable to move or attack for around 2 seconds. After this period, it will emit a roar that deals 6 () damage and high knockback (which increases with proximity) to nearby entities. The roar can knock back nearby Illagers without damaging them and has no effect on other ravagers. The ravager does not attack pillagers who shoot at it and does not attack evokers when evoker fangs accidentally hit a ravager. There is a 50% chance that when blocking with a shield a ravager will still be able to do damage once its half health.
Even though they are heavy, they can swim. Their apparent weight gives them 50% chance of 100% knockback resistance.
Unlike iron golems ,ravagers are able to ride boats and minecarts. (Doesn't Work 1.14.1)
Ravagers are also able to spawn reinforcements.[Java Edition only]
Upon death, ravagers drop 1 saddle.
Ravagers have entity data associated with them that contains various properties of the mob.
