Name

poisonous_potato

A poisonous potato is a food item that can poison the player.

Obtaining[edit]

The poisonous potato is a rare drop when harvesting (destroying) potato plants: a fully grown plant has a 2% chance of dropping one in addition to the 1–4 regular potatoes. This is a reference to real world potatoes which are poisonous when they are green.

Natural generation[edit]

Poisonous potatoes can be found in 50.7% of shipwreck supply chests in stacks of 2–6.

Usage[edit]

Poisonous potatoes cannot be planted on farmland or baked.

Food[edit]

See also: Hunger management

A poisonous potato can be eaten, this restores 2 (Hunger.svg) and 1.2 saturation points, and has a 60% chance of applying 5 seconds of the Poison effect (draining 4 (Poisoned Heart.svgPoisoned Heart.svg)).
