It has been suggested that this page be split. [discuss]
If this split may potentially be controversial, do not split until a consensus has been reached.
Reason: The Pocket Edition playable E3 demo is a distinct version from the other pre-release build(s) seen in pre-release footage and screenshots. This page actually used to be called pre-release and documented the pre-release footage version(s) (for example, before it mentioned that it had the rose, which was in the screenshot/footage builds, while the playable demo as seen here shows the cyan flower and the page has been updated to reflect this), but it looks like that has changed. However, there should definitely be a separate page for the pre-release version(s), especially as a lot of info that was previously here has now been lost due to this change.
