Skyroot log is Aether's equivalent to wood. Skyroot Logs can be crafted into skyroot planks, which can be crafted into tools with a special ability. If you want to know what this ability is, you have to see the skyroot planks page. Skyroot logs are created by planting a Skyroot Sapling and letting it grow. Skyroot Log is a type of block first seen in Aether 1.0.0 They have a skin resembling bark on the four side faces, and a crosscut face on top and bottom. Wood is greatly abundant in Naturally-Generated Island, as it is used as the foundation for Skyroot Trees. Skyroot Logs can be chopped by hand, but using an axe is faster. It is also flammable.

Skyroot Wood

Of the current wood types, golden oak is the rarest type. They are often used to make plants, trees, and wooden cabins. This allows the use of wood as a building material and is craftable into skyroot planks.

Skyroot Log's only crafting use is to be made into four skyroot planks.

As of Aether 1.0.0 there is 2 kinds of Logs. One is the Skyroot Logs, another is the Golden Oak. These trees still produce 4 skyroot planks when crafted. Wood from different types of trees will not stack, but their planks will. Planks made from different kinds of trees are completely identical.
